First, you didn't address the actual content of the post to which you replied. Asserting that a court decision will never be overturned doesn't reply to the argument I was making, which was in direct response to the argument you'd made.
Second, I am not and have never been a member of the GOP, have voted for candidates from both major parties as well as those in minor parties, and don't care a bit about what either of the major parties claim as a "central core" -- neither has one.
Corollary: Not everyone who thinks infanticide ought to be illegal is a Republican. Not everyone who thinks it ought to be legal and called "pro-choice" or "a women's health issue" is a Democrat.
Lastly, everyone who opposes legal infanticide is well aware of the difficulty that would be involved in overturning Roe v Wade. So, too, are those who support states' rights, along with those who oppose judicial activism and believe that the constitutional separation of powers is good and wise.
No battle for the good, the just, the moral is ever easy. No one ever made the world better by avoiding a hard battle or giving up in the face of difficulty. The good fight will be fought to the grave and carried on by the next generation. Let me be buried with a face turned blue and fingers sore, throat parched and limbs exhausted...yet with a spine unbroken, a heart filled with hope, and a soul that still realizes THIS one simple truth: In the end, the good WILL triumph.
