Imagine the pressure to conform they must feel! I mean. . .a celebrity standing next to a senator/celebrity is calling them ridiculous! And then on top of that they have to contend with the idea that if they hold out they may be compared to the segment of Republicans who likewise hold out against Trump. That's a fate worse than losing.
It's just no wonder the dems knuckle under.
