Castro's funeral - should Obama attend?

ABSOLUTELY NOT.

Nobody from our government should attend the funeral of a tyrant.

I hope this administration is wise and respectful of those people here who had to flee Cuba at the hands of Fidel Castro's regime.

The country is in mourning and you think they will ask the people who tried to assassinate their beloved leader 600 times to his funeral?

The right will damn him if he does and damn him if he doesn't. Or if he doesn't, he will be damned for whatever remarks he makes about Castro OR if he remains silent, it's because he doesn't want to say the "words" that the right expects him to say...you know, the exact words. He's been there, done that....nothing new and the right will bitch about it anyway, so I'd suggest to him to do whatever the hell he wants to do and forget about those who have never accepted a black man as President anyway.

You couldn't be more wrong than you are here. No leader should be going to the funeral to show "respect" for a person like him. So ya, I'd damn Obama if he went. I would have nothing negative to say about him if he refuses to go. You just seem to think you have all the answers. I'm sure Obama appreciates your "suggestion".

Also...WHO has never accepted "a black man as President"? I don't know of any (I'm sure there are some, but I have no knowledge of any). But you seem to believe we all feel that way. That's just ignorance Nina & you know it.

I didn't believe HE would go. But I did expect him to send a representative...like he did with the Brown (pun not intended) thug's funeral. I figured he'd want to show his support without really putting himself out there...like he did with the Brown thug's funeral. Maybe he's finally smartening up. I'll commend him for actually doing the right thing for a change.

He had no business sending anyone to Brown Thug's funeral. He doesn't send anyone to the thousands of funerals for shot black young men in Chicago. Why Brown's? That's Obama acting stupidly.

I assume because Michael Brown--Brown Thug, as you call him (get it? Brown Thug? Haw haw!)--was murdered by police, causing a massive city-wide rebellion.
