Republicans = utter failure

Say, that certianly was a humility-infusion into this strand, lefty...
Where is your humility ? How about saying, "Well Jen it's not like those lefties didn't try to warn us." I guess we should take a lesson from this and pay attention to the substance of their views instead of automatically disregarding them as entitled, adolescent, non-self-aware, hubris-soaked hordes who lack introspection".

But you still just don't get it.

Your last supposed critique "lambasted" Obama for not getting after the REAL bad guys (Bush).
As you should be able to see from your own words there, the left does, in fact, criticize Democrats. You just cited one of many, many examples. Yet, just as I said, you're incapable of seeing it for criticism (thus your "False.") because for you only criticisms that come from a right-wing perspective are cognizable. It's a limitation of your intellect. Possibly some introspection on your part would help you to outgrow it. But, to be honest, I doubt you have the humility for that.

Nonsense. Today alone I have shredded the GOP and conservative pols in multiple threads
To be clear, I'm not questioning your capacity for self-congratulation. I have no doubts about that. You have shown us many, many times your readiness to pat yourself on the back for your self-perceived greatness. Rather, I'm questioning your capacity for actual introspection. I have yet to see that in play. Telling us all that you've confirmed you've always been right about everything doesn't qualify as introspection.

Democrats tend to define anything they disagree with in pejorative terms and incoherent responses (see bold). It's stupid because it doesn't accomplish anything. While I agree that the GOP isn't what it should be, I will discern between responses that are stupid and those that are thoughtfully critical when discussing it. Thank you for your contribution.
Holy shit!!! Take a look at your own posts....

Democrats, top to bottom, are so dumb they would rather sacrifice our nation to embers than allow anyone but them run it. They are intent on destroying the USA.

Republicans have no problem calling out their own. Democrats are understandably afraid to do it.
I think that's nearly 180 degrees removed from the truth. And I say that as someone looking on from outside, having never been a Republican or a Democrat. Republicans are generally the party of lock-step partisan solidarity, whereas Democrats are the party that will form a circular firing squad at the drop of a hat.

Compare, for example, the Republican relationship with their most effective president of the last forty years, to the Democratic relationship with theirs. On paper, Clinton has Reagan beat in just about every way. Deficits went down, not up, GDP growth was better, job creation was better, stock growth was better, poverty declined more, incomes grew more, crime rates went down instead of up, teen pregnancy rates went down instead of up, the share of Americans covered by health insurance went up instead of down, and so on. Based on actual records, you'd think the Democrats would be absolutely raving about Clinton, while the Republicans would have, at best, a grudging respect for Reagan. Yet it's the other way. Republicans talk about Reagan like he was some kind of miracle worker and a secular saint, while Democrats can seldom resist the urge to take a swipe at Clinton for the various ways he fell short of liberal ideals (e.g., the crime bill, or signing welfare reform), or for his personal life. Democrats are just constitutionally opposed to unity.

And you have the option of responding............or not.

The Republicans have become a party that's all about style, not substance. That was politically useful in the Obama years, when all that was needed to keep the base in line was to take the leading role in the Two Minute Hate. They were great at organizing symbolic Obamacare repeal votes and symbolic "investigations" that everyone knew didn't actually matter. But they've lost track of how to actually govern.

I suspect part of the reason is because of what happened in the Bush years. For the first time in generations they had both houses of Congress, and the presidency, and the majority on the Supreme Court, and so they were able to get their way, without having to compromise with the Democrats. This gave their ideas the unfettered test run they'd never really had before. Major parts of the New Deal were repealed (good-bye PUHCA). Private-sector innovation proceeded without new regulatory curbs (e.g., the way the shadow banking system flourished with mortgages packaged up, tranched, insured, and securitized). They got the war they'd spent years itching for in the Middle East, and the monster increases to the military budget, and big upper-class tax cuts, and the roll-back of gun regulations, and all their favorite people in charge of defense and security, etc. Only, it didn't turn out like they expected.

By 2008, most things in America were noticeably worse than they'd been in 2000. Unemployment and poverty were much higher, incomes and stock values were much lower, the Middle East had devolved into a bloody quagmire, New Orleans was a soggy shadow of its former self, lower Manhattan was a ruin, Bin Laden was running free, US credibility was shattered, the nation was in the midst of the worst recession since the Great Recession, credit markets were frozen, etc. Even in the few areas where things hadn't actually gotten worse, they'd gone through eight years of relative stagnation, compared to the rapid improvements in the pre- and post-Bush eras (e.g., murder rates effectively holding steady under Bush, compared to declines under Clinton and Obama).

When you get everything you've been calling for, and the results are drastically terrible, it's got to make you a bit gun-shy. I think that's why the Republicans have come to focus exclusively on what they're good at (getting gullible people to hate whoever the Democratic enemy-of-the-moment is), rather than what they're bad at (enacting effective policies).

Republicans assured us all that if given the opportunity they would fix everything for us. They got the opportunity and what they've done is a failure of massive proportions.

Can't anyone we elect get things right for a change?

Republican Leaders..............you cannot just walk away from this one.

@Arkady and @middleview. This thread is for you and your posts over on that other thread where they didn't belong. Put 'em here.
They are not utter failures at everything. They used promises to repeal and replace the ACA to get Republicans elected in Congress and to get Trump elected. That worked pretty good.

We must get rid of the GOP establishment anything that resembles a liberal. Our conditions is like a nuclear blast, volcanic eruption, 8.0 earthquake 3 category 5 hurricanes all happening at the same exact time. You shouldn't expect for us to recover from the damage done from decades of political complacency. It will take time. Starting with president Trump was our first step to recovery. Now we must remove RINO's such as McCain, Graham, Ryan, McConnoll, Snow, and a number of other reach across snakes

There is frequent and strong criticism of Democrats by liberals. You just are intellectually unfit to recognize it, because your mind can only accommodate criticisms from a right-wing perspective. Thus, for example, when a liberal faults Obama for having squandered much of his first term on an ineffectual attempt to win bipartisan support for his ideas from the Republicans, that doesn't register as a criticism in your mind, since it is a criticism of Obama for not having been more aggressively liberal.
Sure they are attacked for Not being liberal enough.

I guess it did. That is what the people of America wanted them to do. But somehow they have failed at doing it. America wants the ACA repealed and replaced......... that is a fact.

That does need to be done. RINO's have their name for a reason. They aren't real Republicans. For some reason Trump wants to reach out to them and they are just chewing up the hand he's reached out there. He needs to fire the ones he can fire and ignore the ones he can't fire.

He cannot ignore Ryan or McConnell and he can't fire them nor can he ignore those that chair committees. That's why it's up to us to help the President anyway that we can.

I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive.
Agreed! If I was Trump I'd be inviting the remaining moderate Dems (guys like Joe Minchin) in with some moderate Repubs (like Susan Collins) to kraft an end around on the leadership.

I don't believe that. If you're thinking about citing a poll, don't bother. I don't believe them either. "America" sure doesn't want GOP/Trump-style replacement.
