Sleepy Eyes

I'm not clear what question you imagine you're answering there. Again, my question was "Did you have some other explanation for why he'd settle on such an ill-fitting bit of name-calling?" If your answer is "no," then I'm with you on that -- I can't think of a better explanation than racism. Now, understandably, being an emotionally delicate conservative, you needed to throw in a personal attack against me, but it wasn't relevant here. Obviously, my use of the term "subhuman scum," while certainly hurtful to the evil people towards whom it was directed, could not possibly have been racially motivated, since they were people of all races.... and, it's worth noting, disproportionately people of my own race (Trump voter disproportionately being white). So, try to focus.

I'm not the one defending his disdain for all things not aligned to the particularities of his worldview. Nor am I the least bit delicate, or the one taking Jabs, presumably to bolster some inferiority complex or other.

Your question was answered in that I said it may well be that Trump thinks that the guy has sleepy looking eyes. If you don't agree knock yourself out. If you think I have to agree with what you think, tough shit. Feel free to carry on looking for hidden meaning in the words that he uses etc.

Yes. Certainly many would consider that worse, if they were, themselves, subhuman scum, or if they were merely ignorant of the character of "marvin martian." But the point about Trump is that he doesn't reserve his hard words only for those who have lost the respect of all decent people, like marvin. Instead, he applies his schoolyard taunts to everybody on the other side of the aisle, and half the people on his own side.... basically anyone he doesn't feel is appropriately deferential towards him. And that would certainly put him at the low end even of a very low-end forum like Politicaljack.
You prove to be below Trump and biggest hypocrite in "low-end forum like Politicaljack"..............Such poor grammar

Good thing you don't have any clients so you can post in "low-end forum like Politicaljack"

Trump repeatedly uses the phrase “Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd” when attacking the reporter. It seemed like an odd insult to me — even once one moves past the general oddness of a US president descending into playground name-calling whenever he refers to a reporter. Why “sleepy eyes”? It’s an unusual insult and not one that seems well-tailored for the target, whose eyes are unremarkable. So, I did a little Googling. Turns out that “sleepy eyes” is one of the standard things that alt-right/neo-Nazi groups list as ways to spot a Jew.

Any guesses what Chuck Todd’s religion is?

No. What would make you think that's what I'm arguing?

Regardless, this isn't just something I find bizarre (like, say, people who consider The Big Bang Theory funny). This is objectively bizarre, since it involves ridiculing a completely unremarkable feature -- like if I took to referring to "Buck Tooth George Bush." It would call out for some sort of explanation, since it's so clearly not rooted in his actual appearance. I'm all ears, when it comes to why Trump settled on that particularly anti-Semitic slur to describe Todd, but even his reflexive defenders here have struggled to think of anything.
You don't know what you don't know.

If we don't know why he chose to call Mr. Todd that particular name, that does not mean we can or should assign a motive of our own liking.

Meaning folks will create controversy... But you keep that
No, meaning just what you said. If Chuck Todd had no eyes and Trump called him sleepy eyes, it would be an even bigger insult. But what blows me away is that we’re even having a conversation about a president of the United States calling people names and worse, that the BOD’s are defending and excusing it. It’s truly pathetic. And childish.

I understood you the first time. I meant the Nazi nonsense. What's BOD? And yes, pathetic all around
