In the words of your GOP god as your last bit of decency and patriotism fades from your party.

Just like, Seth Rich, Obama wiretapping Trump Tower, Nunes' midnight ride, Susan Rice unmasking Trumpies, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page texting, Carter Page surveillance, and now this disingenuous attempt to turn the rule of law on its head and escape justice takes its place on the heap of discredited distractions that will fail in the face of fact.

Congressional Democrats say that a classified briefing held Thursday for top leaders about the FBI’s investigation into President Trump’s 2016 campaign did not offer evidence that supports the allegation that an intelligence agency placed a spy in the campaign.

“Nothing we heard today has changed our view that there is no evidence to support any allegation that the FBI or any intel agency placed a spy in the Trump campaign,” said a statement Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., read to reporters on behalf of himself, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. and Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va.

Republican officials who attended the same briefing have been far more circumspect, but it’s worth emphasizing that none of them has suggested in any forum that the revelations were in any way useful to the White House

I can't figure out how their value system works...seems as long as their team (the RNC) wins it is all good. It doesn't seem to matter that 4,500 American soldiers were killed in an unnecessary invasion. They don't care that we ran up between $2 trillion and $3 trillion in debt to invade a country that was no threat to us. We have three successive republican president who cut taxes to payoff their base and the result is about half of the current national debt...just for tax cuts....and they still think those tax cuts somehow pay for themselves.

A republican VP and President forced to resign. A long list of presidential pardons to avoid prosecutions. And still they think the republican party is not deplorable...

Go figure.

I think this is worse than anything in their history. You listed things that could be excused as "policy" for argument's sake. What they are doing now, they themselves can not come up with an excuse for. Instead they've relied on gaslighting their base and the public, calling what they can't excuse fake news / lies, and they are doing it by propagating a defense of actual cobbled together fake news and lies, that are continuously expose as such.

They aren't just abandoning any decency they may ever had. They're tossing a grenade over their shoulder as they run out the door.

"President Trump has claimed for months now that his campaign for president was surveilled. Many did not take him seriously, however, last night law professor Jonathan Turley said he was right.

"With the informant business, well, the point here is the Russians," Clapper said. "Not spying on the campaign but what are the Russians doing? And in a sense, unfortunately, what they were trying to do is protect our political system and protect the campaign."

"But the FBI started to look into Trump's ties to Russia in the summer of 2016. Trump tweeted that this spring -- this spying, rather, this spying that he claims is spying, other people say it's a whistleblower or informant. He says it's spying, it's bigger than Watergate. So I ask you, was the FBI spying on Trump's campaign?" Co-host Joy Behar asked.

"No, they were not," Clapper answered. "They were spying on, a term I don't particularly like, but on what the Russians were doing. Trying to understand were the Russians infiltrating, trying to gain access, trying to gain leverage or influence which is what they do."

"Well, why doesn't like that? He should be happy," Behar said."

Even a dog catches on faster than a Trump voter.

Keep chasing that ball.

Yes, we are well aware Donald Trump makes wild assertions without requisite evidence to be taken serious. He is just making a fool of himself.

Well, let's see. He claimed that Trump tower was being surveiled, and it turned out to be true. He claimed that the Russians were trying to interfere with the election process, Obama called him an idiot for that publicly, and now, according to the left, it's all true. Now we find that that the FBI had spies placed in the Trump campaign.

So far I'm not seeing a wild assertion here.

If you read the tone of the posting it is becoming increasingly frantic. What's really funny is the quotations from the Democratic contingent as if they had even the slightest interest in getting to the truth. Trump has utterly destroyed then with two syllables and no amount of panic stricken rhetoric can erase it

SPYGATE....

"He claimed that the Russians were trying to interfere with the election process," now? "Who controls the present controls the past."
