Sixty years ago was about the time your dying Empire put out a call to all its loyal colonial subjects to come to the UK and help rebuild the devastation of WWII, right?

Was the skin color of those who answered the call a bigger threat to civilization then or today?
looks like democrats.

The majority in the US voted AGAINST Trump, remember?

https://splinternews.com/here-is-the-final-popular-vote-count-of-the-2016-electi-1793864349

"Most of the people who voted in the 2016 presidential election voted for Hillary Clinton. Donald Trump is the president-elect.

"Here are the final numbers:

"Clinton received 65,844,610 votes, or 48.2% of the total vote.

"Trump received 62,979,636 votes, or 46.1% of the total vote. (That's a difference of 2.86 million votes.)

"The remaining 5.7% of the vote went to other candidates, like Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, Evan McMullin, and, I don't know, write-ins for flesh-eating bacteria."
So Hillary won and she is President??? Nope majority rules and we won.

Trump "won" for the same reason other racists "won"

http://time.com/4558510/electoral-college-history-slavery/

"Standard civics-class accounts of the Electoral College rarely mention the real demon dooming direct national election in 1787 and 1803: slavery."
Trump won for the same reason that Democrats...err party of slavery and segregation racist won?

Yet Hillary was the Southern democratic candidate...Arkansas, where her career of murder and rape enforcer for the Governor started..

Of course he is - who protests? Every day of every week in London and elsewhere? Not the working men and women and not the silent majority.
Freedom of Screech Is an Invasion of Privacy

There is no right to protest. The fact that it is exclusively the activity of the elite and their pets makes it undemocratic. Those who claim it is part of Freedom of Speech openly admit that they believe their pushy brats are entitled to annoy the public. Again, SCROTUS shows its contempt for us, the people, and only cares about its own people.

In order for this bogus freedom not to result in a predatory infringement on the right to be left alone, let the protesters rent an assembly hall where they can scream all they want, the public invited but not forced to listen or even to watch these offensive antics of degenerate Social Justice Warlords, prancing and strutting in self-congratulation

Bill of Rights 168/9 and etc gives us, under common law, the right to free assembly and etc and so forth. There are also statute laws on assemblies too.

Yesterday was like what they name 'Gay Pride' but I am sure that you have a more appropriate description of it, Sage. They were throwing glass bottles at anyone who was foolish enough to question 'what are you protesting' The Police were protective of the bottle throwers and asked their targets to move on ----

Today there were large and peaceful Pro Trump and #Free Tommy 'assemblies' - the Police was mmmmm shall we say uncooperative, not protective or helpful at all, down right obstructive and bloody aggressive?

Yesterday's was on the news, today's mmmm not so much.

Same old same old -

But, yes, these years and years of daily assemblies have dulled and belittled that which it should be used for - now, though, real people are beginning to take up the batten and are gathering in very large numbers against Muslim rape and so on - so far they are, of course, only getting bad publicity or no publicity but every month the numbers grow - and these meetings alone will get Tommy out on the 18th, if not for them he would be dead.

I think the Brits put on great protests.

Did you watch the video above? Anyone walking toward the Pro Trump or #FreeTommy assemblies to day, in groups of three or more, would be arrested - the Pro trump rally was essentially banned, even though given permission and planned long ago, today the Police ( Sadist Khan) slapped a public notice on any and everyone going to it - the speakers backed out, didn't want to spend 13 mths in jail.

In an interview last week Khan said your US baby balloon was free speech - and if someone flew a balloon of a pig depicting him that would be fine by him --- it wasn't was it, as seen in video above.

Which is precisely one of the main reasons why the Electoral College was established -- to prevent one region of the UNITED States from overwhelming the interests of the rest.
It exists now for the same reason. Now, it's to prevent the coastal regions -- two coastal cities really -- from overwhelming the interests of the rest of the country.

One wonders if the people protesting Trump's visit are the same people who protested the Brexit referendum results.
There are some people who (selectively) have a real problem with the whole voting thing.

I see the Electoral College a little differently, Emily. I think the institution of private property at a time when millions of human beings were so designated explains why this anti-democratic appendage became part of our national elections.
Perhaps the rise of the modern two party system helps explain why it is still with us?
