Trump vows to revoke security clearance of Bruce Ohr “very quickly”

Bugsy McGurk

President
The Trump era gets more and more surreal.

Bruce Ohr is a DOJ official. He played a role in the Russia probe. Ergo, Trump wants to punish him.

So, Trump publicly vowed to revoke Ohr’s security clearance “very quickly.” Being in the DOJ, having a security clearance is critical to Ohr doing his job. So, Trump is basically vowing to take away the man’s job.

There are, of course, internal DOJ procedures in place to evaluate alleged wrongdoing of DOJ officials. Just as there are procedures in place to determine whether someone’s clearance should be revoked. Trump has no interest in such procedures, due process, or any other laws. He views himself as a banana republic despot who can punish people on a whim if they displease him, the interests of the nation be damned.

The Banana Republic of Trumplandia.

Nope. But it’s far better than having a despot ignore existing laws and doing things by fiat for his own corrupt purposes, the interests of the nation be damned.

Your intense Trump sycophancy prevents you from drawing that obvious conclusion.

I'm clearly not, if you read my posts, a "Trump sycophant." But I am a trooper for the truth when it comes to Trump's "Russian collusion" persecution. And, as an aside, all the truths that are being revealed about the "investigation" the last couple of months increasingly support my long held contention that the whole thing was an effort by the "deep state" to first, meddle in, and then after he won, to overturn the election.

Your sycophancy is aimed at the deep state, and of course you would suggest that only the deep state has the purview of determining whether their actions are appropriate. Because, of course, they always find that they were. Name me one government investigation that actually found the government did anything wrong! Your suggestion here is, of course, absurd.

It’s quite amusing that you deny your Trump sycophancy while also repeating his imaginary “deep state out to get me” insanity. The DOJ and FBI did Trump an enormous favor by hiding their Kremlin/Trump election interference probe from the public during the campaign. It’s lunacy to claim there was a “deep state out to get him.”

As you your question, I’m sure you know that the DOJ has an internal disciplinary process which does indeed find that its people did something wrong. Strzok, for example, was demoted, but Trump wants to punish people as he unilaterally sees fit if they criticize him.

As to Ohr, he doesn’t even work on the Mueller probe. I don’t think he ever has. But his wife worked for Fusion GPS, a company on Trump’s enemies list. And Trump knows that taking away Ohr’s clearance is tantamount to taking away his DOJ job. That achieves the revenge he seeks, and is a message to others that they criticize Trump, or investigate him or his cronies, at the risk of losing their jobs.

You support such banana republic Trump tactics while laughably denying your Trump sycophancy.

The truth is that there is a deep state (the Ohr's the FBI "lovebirds," Andy McCabe, Brennan, Clapper, Hayden, Comey, Mueller, the list goes on), and it was (is) out to get Trump by any means necessary (and, as we suspected, they don't think the laws apply to them).

As for Ohr, no he wasn't assigned to the investigation, but go back and reread the top post - he was definitely "involved."

You Trump sycophants view investigations that are critically important to the nation’s security as “deep state” probes if they implicate your cult leaders. Sane patriots don’t view things that way.

Evidence that our election was being illegally interfered with by the Kremlin obviously set off alarm bells within our intel community - among Republicans and Democrats alike. Among Trump supporters and Trump critics alike. All patriots found that to be shocking and dire.

The same holds when evidence arose indicating that Trump-related people may have been in cahoots with those Kremlin efforts, such as when Papadopoulos blabbed to the Australian ambassador as to his knowledge about what was going on, and the tips we were getting from our foreign allies.

The very notion that our intel agencies should have ignored such things strikes sane patriots as insanity. But that’s precisely the view of you and your fellow Trump sycophants - that the probe was launched and pursued simply because there was some “deep state conspiracy out to get Trump.”

Trump posits the most insane claim in the history of the nation, and you Trump sycophants jump right on board and repeat it.

You all richly deserve your place among “the deplorables.”

It is refreshing to know that making this Great Nation better everyday really upsets the Marxist Extremist among us.

Your displeasure is America's pleasure.

I know of no Marxist extremists here, but your lie aside, you take pleasure in the criticism from sane patriots of the notion that our intel people should have ignored the evidence of Kremlin crimes in interfering with our election and possible Team Trump complicity in those crimes, including the very real possibility that Putin controls Trump. That it’s a “deep state conspiracy” to investigate those things.

You seem to have no idea how warped your mind is.

What is "amusing" is your denial that the evidence that continues to stack up gives every indication that the very people who ginned up this "Russian collusion" narrative, and have been conducting the inquisition it spawned, are up to their eyeballs in anti-Trump (and pro-Clinton) conflicts of interests. Look, we both know you wouldn't be so blind to these obvious facts if the roles were reversed and it was YOUR President who was being railroaded by a bunch of crooked bureaucrats. And, of course, we both also know that if that were the case, you and I, we'd be agreeing on the inappropriateness (and outright criminality) of these bureaucrats' conflicts (and obvious biases). Because, as we also both know, I am always (ALWAYS) consistent in my honesty with respect to such matters of corrupt governance, regardless of the party conducting it, and, well, you aren't...

It’s equally ludicrous to claim that Trump is being “railroaded.” First, of course, the Mueller Team has been scrupulous in staying silent while Trump and his toadies run around sliming Mueller and spewing their hysterical lies. And you have no idea what Mueller’s conclusions will be as to Trump and his toadies.

Second, Trump is more than free to march in, swear an oath, and tell his side of the story. The fact that he refuses to do so speaks volumes. That would be a great way to fend off any “railroading” - if he were wholly innocent.

As to your fiction that the probe is led by those “out to get” Trump, when it is really led by lifelong Republicans Mueller and Rosenstein (a Trump appointee), the fact remains that, political preferences aside, the facts are the facts. Guilty criminal defendants attack the government when they know the facts are damning. But the facts are the facts, regardless of who voted for whom.

Gee, if it's all such a righteous investigation, why did they need a fake opposition research dossier to get the ball rolling? Why did Brennan need to "leak" the "dossier" to Harry Reid so as to gin up the political will to initiate an official "investigation?" Why did ardent never-Trumper Peter Strzok say he feared there was no "there, there?" Why did Bruce Ohr butt in when the thing bogged down due to Steele's self destruction to keep the flow of information from Fusion GPS going? Why if there was all this evidence, did so many conflicted people need to make so many inappropriate moves to create and maintain this (disintegrating) narrative?

You repeat the same stale Team Trump lies that have been thoroughly debunked as nauseum.

Cutting through your horseshit, why do you think our intel people should have ignored the Steele dossier when it contained considerable evidence (much of it already corroborated) of illegal Kremlin actions, Kremlin/Team Trump contacts, and possible Putin control over Trump?

Why should our intel people have ignored it?

Because, in the immortal words of Peter Strzok, there's nothing there. And those aren't lies - they have all been proven by either documentary or testimonial evidence. You must label them "lies" so you can pretend you didn't just get your ass kicked...

You seriously contend that the dossier should have been ignored even though much of it has been corroborated, with as yet unverified contents of the dossier to likely be verified in the Mueller report?

Seriously? Your Trump sycophancy runs that deep?
