I never said he would have lost. There would have been runoff with just him and Bush.

DUCK, MV...............HERE IT COMES AGAIN.....................

There is no runoff for Governor in Colorado. No runoff for any member of congress from Colorado.

Nobody is proposing a requirement for 50% + 1 for a popular vote for president...so your argument is irrelevant.

Um, the very definition of "popular vote" is 50% + 1.

I have already educated you on that..........apparently it didn't take.

You think you provided proof..you did not. You offered your opinion, as have I...but I also offered a link to national media.

Nobody is proposing 50% + 1 as a definition of popular vote for president. There is a national movement which already has 170 electoral votes locked down. There definition matches mine...not yours.

again

In a presidential election, the popular vote simply means an aggregate of all voters from all states in America. The candidate who gets the most votes nationwide is said to have won the popular vote.

The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

  1. the greater number.
Or...let's use Merriam Websters'

3a: a number or percentage equaling more than half of a total

b : the excess of a majority over the remainder of the total :
margin won by a majority of 10 votes

c : the greater quantity or share

In any case...here is the statement from the National Popular Vote group.

The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

"the republican weaponizing of the English language...like when they decided to call inheritance taxes (which had majority support) "Death Taxes"" mv #179
They're pretty good at it, may win most of their challenges.

But political sloganeering isn't new to the 3rd millennium.

It's more persuasive to the simple-minded.

Who else would fall for "Make America Great Again"?

The painful irony is President Trump reduces U.S. greatness. He's not improving it.

One more example of how the Founding Fathers were light years ahead of where libnuts are in 2019.
Treating the Elitist Constitution Like a Bible Is Either Superstition or Sacrilege

The pioneers were the Founding Fathers. They didn't want to be cooped up in their home states, so the electoral college imbalance was the will of the majority, which the Wags Wearing Wigs who devised the Constitution snobbishly opposed.

And he explained in your link that he would have run his campaign completely differently if that were the case.

Hillary knew the law, and ran her campaign accordingly..............AND LOST!

BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!
Her Real Problem Was Her Conceit That the Battleground States Were Already in Her Pocket

Romney was also criticized for running his campaign the way that hillary would later imitate. They're both in the same ilk of pompous snobs.

If you can't quote properly by NOT deleting the automated response alert that looks like the yellow highligted item above, then try @resident_evil because it then will send me alert that you responded to me.

Sincerely,

I got a better idea re #213

Follow the thread as it displays on a proper computer screen, I strongly recommend 1080HD & UHD.
I use both in extended mode.

If you use your protocol, you'll miss out on those that post interesting comments that are not replies. That's particularly germane for single-digit posts, and new members.

But you're in fool's errand if you think I'm going to rearrange my life because you have a trivial format issue with my posting style.

READ THE DAMN THREAD !!!!!!!!!

and grow up a little

You attribute my superior formatting skills (technical skill) to inability.
And you express your ignorant contempt by use of an obsolete term of psychological / intellectual classification.

Some of the most sincere humor is that which is inadvertent.
If you were smarter you wouldn't be as funny.
