Security upgrades for Texas school district include AR-15's, tracking IDs: 'We're not playing around'
TEXAS CITY, TEXAS -- One Lone State state school district is arming guards with AR-15s, using facial recognition technology to control who comes inside buildings and even tracking students with chip technology -- all in a bid to become the safest school system in the nation.

The extraordinary measures are the brainchild of a former Secret Service agent who drew from his experience to come up with an ambitious security plan.

“We’re not playing around. This isn’t some kind of little game to us. We put a lot of time, money, and effort into this,” said Rodney Cavness, superintendent of schools for the shooting in nearby Santa Fe High School. The shooting, which happened minutes down the road from Texas City, left 10 people dead.

This is just too cool. An incompetent sheriff's negligence in Broward County Florida led to a mass shooting in a high school and dumb fuckk liberals blamed the weapons. (Except for our brilliant new Governor, who just FIRED that incompetent son of a bitch.)

Texas isn't putting up with this. Future shooters will steer clear of schools that are protected by AR 15s.

AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU NAZI GUN GRABBING SNOWFLAKES CAN DO ABOUT IT.

it is a far better approach than tasing laws making schools free target zones, while dis-arming law abiding citizens thus insuring bad guys can kil US with no concern for being shot themselves.

I helped guard our entire nation with the M-16-A1.

What's your problem with protecting our government schools?
The problem with the AR 15 is that it has no auto-fire mode, unlike the M-16-A1.

BTW
I know you won't, but just to expose your troll style:
Please quote a Gun Grabbers that expresses objection to guarding its students with Ar15s.

Surely there have been dozens of kids shot up by these amateur NRA gun nuts with ASSAULT WEAPONS, right?

You say you were in the military? and a police officer? Why would you use automatic weapons in a building that has civilians inside? Even the military went from automatic to a three round burst. So to say automatic is better you it just isn't so and to say you were military and law enforcement your response with this post shows you have never been.
I am very pro second amendment but I would be against allowing automatic weapons inside a public school the accountability would be too high with civilian casualties

I have issues with this. Research has proven that the constant reminders to students that school could be dangerous, with things like armed guards and security measures like locks and fences causes academic performance to drop.

This is a fence we must straddle daily.

a) There's no more extravagant waste than a 2nd rate military. Gen. Horner

b) "Every gun that is made, every warship that is launched, every rocket that is fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children ..." President Dwight D. Eisenhower

Solomon isn't here to split the baby for us.

NRA / ILA Wayne LaPierre made a point: - the remedy for a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun -

As long as there are horrors like Columbine, and Sandy Hook, tax payers will want reasonable assurance that they are safe.

Perhaps the question we should seek an answer to is which is more traumatic to young public school students?

Never knowing a public school experience without armed supervision?
Or only seeing armed guardians when a threat is perceived?

Or we can spend the money on preventive measures like more school psychologists and training teachers how to handle problems when they are small and solvable instead of waiting until they become criminal.

I see nothing wrong with it. But that is just my opinion. It could make children less scared of firearms and learn to respect them, and teach them they can harm you if used or misused.
