Hopefully she'll apologize to the nation for raising such a violent creep and causing such an uproar. Or maybe she'll apologize for her husband inciting a riot in Ferguson, yelling to the crowd to "burn this bitch down!"

Or maybe she'll apologize for beating up her son's grandmother....maybe.

If she's speaking at the convention, this is just absolute delusion by the Democrats.

However, even though the entire premise of her son's death was based on a lie, the Democrats will continue to hope to keep that false reality afloat, it appears.

Hands up, Don't Shoot = Lie
Men/Women Pay Gap = Lie
Blacks killed by White Cops Epidemic = Lie

Yet you'll constantly hear Obama and Hillary reference them in their speeches.

I don't know what else you can call them other than liars, and I don't like using that word as some on this board do.

How about "They refuse to acknowledge pivotal information that would lead one to come to a directly opposite conclusion than what they have"...

You mean they are putting a grieving mother onstage at their convention?.....Gosh the Republicans would never do that?............Would they?

That's a decent point. However, the issue is why. Does the mother of a known thug righteously killed by the police for being a violent thug, who will likely trash the police, sound like a good PR move?

So I guess the big question is, will Democrats help keep pushing the big lies about Michael Brown, "the gentle giant"? It certainly seems they're out of sync with rational Americans and the US Justice system that has made it clear the officer did his job.

Not just Mikey's mom Lezley, but 6 others

The mothers of seven slain black men, women and children will be speaking at the Democratic convention,

•Gwen Carr, the mother of Eric Garner, who died in a chokehold administered by an NYPD officer.

•Sybrina Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, a teenager killed by Florida neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman.

•Maria Hamilton, mother of Dontré Hamilton, who was killed by a Milwaukee police officer.

•Lucia McBath, mother of Jordan Davis, who was shot by a man at a Florida gas station for playing his music too loud.

•Lezley McSpadden, mother of Michael Brown, who was killed by a Ferguson, Mo., police officer.

•Cleopatra Pendleton-Cowley, mother of Hadiya Pendleton, a Chicago teenager who was shot while in a park with friends.

•Geneva Reed-Veal, mother of Sandra Bland, who died in a Texas jail after being imprisoned for a traffic violation.

Yet...the DNC and it's water carriers in the media savaged the RNC Convention appearance of Patricia Smith, the mother of Sean Smith, a State Department employee who was killed in Benghazi.

There's a bit of difference between Patricia Smith appearing at the RNC Convention and these 7 at the DNC convention.

Mrs. Smith has a greivance with candidate Clinton over her son's death in Benghazi and the lie she was told by Mrs. Clinton. Yes, these are political conventions and yes, politics can get rough.

However, Donald Trump nor the RNC had anything to do with the deaths of these 7 women's children. They are being brought up to speak for the sole purpose of inflaming primarily the black community but others as well. There is no other rational reason.

That being the purpose, she and the DNC are willfully endangering the lives of law enforcement officers and they know it. If you'll recall, in live national television coverage of a memorial service for murdered Dallas police officers Barack Obama inexplicably brought up the case of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge. The next day 3 Baton Rouge police officers were shot down.

If Loretta Lynch of the Department of Justice has any regard whatsoever for safety of law enforcers she should be cautioning Mrs. Clinton....perhaps under the guise of chatting about their grandchildren in a secret 30 minute meeting at some airport .

Your reply has got me wondering: is this a desperate move, making such a move to shore up support from a pretty fringe group of the DNC's base, as a proportion to the American voting public at large.

On the other hand, they may be going for more gun control, which still isn't a very popular idea in the US. I suspect the American people believe there are bigger fish to fry.

I don't think it's desperate, they've been successfully race baiting for years. The only difference this time is the gross negligence regarding the lives of police officers.

As for your suspicion, I suspect that people know for a fact there are bigger fish to fry. Otherwise a majority of them wouldn't disapprove of Director Comey's decision.

By the way, did you ever Google "comey hsbc" or "loretta lynch hsbc" or 'hsbc Clinton foundation"? Tomorrow being Monday and you a working man you may want to get some sleep. So put it off till a weekend.

It's probably asking too much of #Blacklivesmatter and #Bluelives matter to expect partisans on both sides to examine each case individually without resorting to their respective echo chamber talking points.

It seems obvious Michael tried to sock up a cop and take the cop's gun after just committing a strong-arm robbery of a nearby convenience store.

If so, he got exactly what he deserved; however, that doesn't mean there isn't a Blue Wall of silence when it comes to police involved shooting.

Agreed, people need to make individual decisions. I'll bring up a few that come to mind:

1) Cop that shot kid quickly after pulling up into park: EVIL
2) Cop that shot man running away then staged scene: EVIL
3) Cops choking out a guy for selling "looseys" in NYC: EVIL

Regarding incident 3, why in the HELL are cops bothering with some poor schmuck trying to make a few bucks selling cigarettes anyway? Is this something we want out police officers taking people down to the ground over? I believe this incident was more a matter of bad police policy.

In the final analysis, there is much room for improvement on both sides of the argument.

I am still waiting for some more facts to come out on Alton Sterling. There's much we can't see in the video. Specifically, where were Sterling's arms as these cops were trying to pin him down? Where was the gun found in relationship to where his arms not only were at the time but were reaching for? And I concede the blue wall will likely interfere with finding out what happened in this incident. That said, I am also someone who is willing to add the context of a person's background into my judgment. That would include Sterling's as well as the cops involved.

I think the gun was in Sterling's pocket, and you're absolutely right to wonder where his hand was in relation to that pocket. You might think two large, male police officers could have disarmed him without resorting to firearms? Fifty years ago someone like Sterling would have been beaten unconscious by a pair of blatantly racist cops who likely would have retired from the force without ever pulling their gun while on patrol. I suppose the elimination of size and gender requirement for police forces explains why there seem to be more officer involved shootings today, yet most of the cops who've made the news lately seem to be large males?

I love the questions you're asking. For example, why not taze a guy you already have at least partial control over? And did Sterling's size play a part? I don't know. The thing is, it's easy for us to all play Monday morning quarterback. Cops have sometimes split seconds to make a decision. Was the cop grabbing his gun just instinct as he observed Sterling grabbing for his? We just don't know. We have to understand that cops make a living getting down and dirty and rolling around on the street trying to contain people and situations.

I'm sure we agree on this: when a cop commits murder or other crimes, he should get the worst possible penalty for abusing his power.

But I think you raise a fantastic point. I remember just a few years ago I went to vote. There was a uniformed officer there. She was a female and couldn't have been more than 5 foot 3. I vividly recall thinking to myself, "honey, if I decided I didn't want you to arrest me, you'd not arrest me". And therefore, how would she counteract being such a small cop? Obviously with force. So that leads us back to what you pondered: are gender and size requirements a factor? How can they not be?

I don't think we can exclude half the human race from a profession as important as law enforcement, yet it is hard to ignore the role size plays in intimidation and the significance intimidation contributes to street level policing. It's a job they could not pay me enough to perform even if I was capable of doing it.

Good point. What we could do is assign police duties based on the physical needs of specific jobs. Yes, I'll say it: women should stick to being meter maids and middle school cops. They have no business on beats where they're likely to encounter physically superior males that can break them in half at will.

Can you think of a recent example of a police officer shooting an "innocent" civilian where the cop was female?

After 4 1/2 years I thought there would be more.

Tamir Rice’s Mom should have been included. The way her son was murdered was absolutely heartbreaking.
