Of course he is presumed innocent until proven guilty. So if he hadn’t been in the country, the murder would still have been committed, presuming he is innocent, and someone still would probably have been arrested for it (maybe even the guilty person), and we’d still have the same expense.
I suppose if all the men left this country the crime rate would plummet, and taxpayers would save a lot of money. Men, after all, are as a group much more likely to commit crimes of violence than “illegals.” As are citizens, for that matter.
