Founding Fathers would've impeached Trump already

"Conservatives, we are constantly told, believe in strict adherence to the Constitution based primarily on the text and secondarily on the views of the Founding Fathers, who wrote and breathed life into our founding document. If conservatives really were “originalists,” they would be the first to say that Donald Trump is exactly the kind of president who ought to be impeached.

Unique among presidents, Trump has divided loyalties. He has entangled his business interests with his official duties, creating the impression, if not the reality, that his own financial interest — not his duty as president — guides his thoughts and actions.

The Founding Fathers, savvy students of students of history and human nature, were highly attuned to the risks of public corruption — actual or perceived — and inserted language into the Articles of Confederation and later into the Constitution to guard against such human frailties. They wanted to make sure that anyone who held a public office would serve only one master: the American people."

Julie, don't triple down on stupid, please. We beg of you.
The Emoluments clause of the Constitution inserted by the Founding Fathers to protect us from having a wannabe king as president.

Can you demonstrate that you are a con who understands and respects our constitution? I know you can't.

LOL !! Not the Emoluments clause.

King ? Tell us, what things has this president done that the previous president - or others have not.

Is he stealing private land like a King ?

Is he levying taxes on people without representation like a King ?

Is he confiscating private property like a King.

Is he beheading political opponents like a King ?

You Being Butthurt is not unconstitutional. But being an idiot is YOUR choice- which you seem to embrace.

Please provide proof from a reputable source that Trump has entangled his business interest with his responsibilities as president. I'll wait.

For the stupid and lazy Trumpies, I give you a line from our Constitution.

The Title of Nobility Clause is a provision in Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the United States Constitution,[1] that prohibits the federal government from granting titles of nobility, and restricts members of the government from receiving gifts, emoluments, offices or titles from foreign states and monarchies without the consent of the United States Congress. Also known as the Emoluments Clause, it was designed to shield the federal officeholders of the United States against so-called "corrupting foreign influences." The clause is reinforced by the corresponding prohibition on state titles of nobility in Article I, Section 10, and more generally by the Republican Guarantee Clause in Article IV, Section 4.[2]

Well, this is unfortunate...

Your story was not found

Not valid...It's almost a year old and still only two Democrats have been impeached.

But on the point of the article:

1. What are Democrats doing to help people keep and bear arms and make sure that right is not infringed?

2. What are you doing to make sure Fox news isn't censored?

Thought so...You and your post are phony. I want my tax dollars back from NPR.

That would protect us from Hillary's fake Russian document...Don't make yourself look any worse by trying to defend a bad argument.

Wait. I think I can hear the waaaaaambulance coming.

This is a separate Court case proceeding to find whether Trump violated his oath of office, the emoluments clause specifically. It's outside of the Mueller report as are investigations into Trump Org, Trump Inaugural committee, Trump Foundation.

Deutsche Bank and Trump's accountants are responding to House Committees subpoenas for Trump's finances. Don, Jr. squealed like a pig over Deutsche Bank. What's HE worried about? <smirk>
Note: Deutsche Bank has already paid HUUGE fines for laundering money for Russian oligarchs. Russians like to launder thru real estate, Trump's business. Ha ha.

Ah well - I think there is a saying or two about little minds, isn't there?
