If Trump had the kind of training that he did growing up, but came from the projects, I think he would at least be a multimillionaire today. If a black kid was born with enormous wealth but had the training and attitude of your average inner city trained black kid, then I suspect he would be sitting in jail on drug charges.
Omg.

That is the whole point. Trump wouldn't have the kind of training he did if he had been born to poor parents in a high crime neighborhood with bad schools.

And if a black kid was born with enourmous wealth he would have been raised in a safe nieghborood with good schools he wouldn't have the training and attitude of an inner city black kid.

Are you starting to understand now?

Exactly, that is the whole point, and as such you can't say that someone who is born poor is destined to be poor any more than you can say that someone born rich is destined to be rich.

it's the person that determines the circumstances, not the other way around.

That's because you think they're inferior. :)

You're just like the OP but too indoctrinated to say it out loud.
You’re missing my point. I believe that they are given less opportunity. They would need to be far superior naturally to overcome their lack of opportunity. I believe that people of all backgrounds are naturally the same. But unequal opportunity sets us apart.

Think.

It is true that the person determines the outcome if they start even. But if one starts rich, in a safe neighborhood and the best schools and the other stats poor in a dangerous neighborhood with crappy schools it is not a fair contest. They do not have equal opportunity. One is starting on third base and the other is still in line to get into the parking lot.

It makes sense to try to help those without all the advantages catch up. Not only is it good for them it is also good for you me and everyone else.

Plus it is just the right thing to do.
Now do you get it.

Superior students don't need an adversity score. Their SAT score alone would show them as a superior student. The only reason to have an adversity score is to legitimize racism.
No, the whole point of adjusting the score is that the SAT systematically favors inferior students from rich backgrounds over superior students from poor backgrounds.

The adversity score proves you wrong. Add to that the amount of laws surrounding dealing with minorities in the workplace. Frankly, if I were presented with 2 resumes, I would go for the non-minority first just because having a minority employee opens you up to all kinds of hassles that, to me, would just not be worth it.
And there are hundreds of thousands of employers who think the same way. And thus whites get a hand up based solely on race. This is something Malcolm X compared to shoving a knife six inches into the back of the Black population. Corrective measures like the adversity score are something he compared to pulling that knife out two inches.

The fact that colleges are lowering the bar to deny whites and asians in favor of minority students negates your point. Blacks actually have better opportunity than non whites.

That's not true at all. As I have said, I have worked with black people who have "chosen" to better themselves and get a better education.

The SAT is a homogeneous score, it doesn't favor anyone, and it was designed specifically not to favor anyone.

They are “lowering the bar” only in the sense that they are now allowing in a small percentage of Blacks who clear the low bar already set for white legacy admissions, and not the much higher bar Blacks have always had to clear to have the same opportunities less capable whites had.

Absolutely false. It was designed by open racists who rejected questions that they themselves had come up with if people of color performed better on those questions than whites, because in their minds that “proved” that those questions were inappropriate.

LOL you have a string of BS a mile long. Colleges, as I have shown, have been discriminating against whites and Asians for a while now. This is a way of getting around the anti-discrimination laws that are now being enforced by the Trump administration.

They worked much harder and were much smarter than Trump who started on third base, was born into a safe neighborhood with the best schools and was handed 400 million dollars on top of it.

Think.
