Trump Tied Ukraine Aid to Inquiries He Sought, Bolton Book Says

WASHINGTON — President Trump told his national security adviser in August that he wanted to continue freezing $391 million in security assistance to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations into Democrats including the Bidens, according to an unpublished manuscript by the former adviser, John R. Bolton.

The president’s statement as described by Mr. Bolton could undercut a key element of his impeachment defense: that the holdup in aid was separate from Mr. Trump’s requests that Ukraine announce investigations into his perceived enemies, including former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and his son Hunter Biden, who had worked for a Ukrainian energy firm while his father was in office.

Obviously that's not a direct quote from his book. So who did you copy/paste?

The Times does not claim to have seen the manuscript, but is basing its report on anonymous sources who claim to have given The Times descriptions. There are no quotes from the manuscript.

It was leaked from the NSC. Whoops !!!!

The only thing Bolton has is hearsay of policy discussions; the fact remains that regardless of whether Bolton is truthful or not, no threats left the White House, no policy was influenced, and the president acted within his responsibilities as chief law enforcement officer.

This is a vindictive move by a man who is having trouble digesting his dismissal.

Translation: Trump released his hold on the funds when he got busted on his shakedown scheme, so no worries.

That's not a lie. Bolton said he would testify if subpoenaed and neither Schiff or Nadler did so.

There's hints that some Republicans are upset, feeling betrayed thinking that Trump had a handle on keeping Bolton quiet when he didn't. If they had any brains, they'd convict him and give themselves time to find a new nominee for 2020. If they acquit him, Trump will find some way to screw them over....just for the hell of it. The man only knows to destroy everything he touches.

Because it's obvious…..on Saturday afternoon Republicans take only 2 hours to strip naked the 20 plus hour Ukrainian (D) striptease act, and in crisis mode, in the wee hours later the presses roll at the NYT in order to meet the Sunday morning deadline, to get out a story about a manuscript the Times Editors admit they never saw, but hey, anonymous sources told us.

Quick turn around wouldn't you say? And why? Because on Monday when Republicans take up where they left off there had to be a game changer to get the people's attention.

All for naught, because it turned out to be Kobe Bryant all day.
