it's early, but the billionaires are coming forward to claim and underwrite their very own candidate.

see if you can match them up. I'll provide the answers later.

  1. Sheldon Adelson
  2. Norman Braman
  3. Foster Friess
  4. David Koch
  5. Robert Mercer
a. Ted Cruz
b. Marco Rubio
c. Rick Santorum
d. Scott Walker

wow - its so much easier with the democrats.

there's a one to one relationship with George Soros and Obama. Soros, of course, is the billionaire who was at one point under indictment by 3 separate nations for currency manipulation.

or we could turn to Hillary, whose financial enablers apparently include every oppressive regime in the middle east (through the clinton foundation) as well as (in 2008) a "who's who" of wall street/1% firms:

Citigroup Inc
Goldman Sachs
JPMorgan Chase & Co
Morgan Stanley
Lehman Brothers
Ernst & Young
Merrill Lynch
Credit Suisse Group

https://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/contrib.php?cycle=Career&cid=n00000019

one of the funnniest things this election cycle will be watching how hillary rants against "big money" while accepting it at the same time.

she plans to run the first billion dollar presidential campaign.

obama holds the record up to this point - over $700 million in 2008.

and you're ranting about republicans LOL?

talk about hypocrisy . . .

i'm not disputing her right to pick topics.

i'm pointing out the hypocrisy in it . . .

or do you dispute my right to flag hypocrisy when its blatantly evident?
Honestly... I do NOT understand this. I haven't got the foggiest idea how to have a discussion or a debate without branching out into related areas. I mean... what are we supposed to do? Repeat the top post, but God forbid don't say anything else about the subject?
Somebody needs to explain this to me. Or not.

George Soros gave Obama $1 Million in 2012 - that's chicken feed - and nothing in 2008.

remember how Sheldon Anderson gave Newt Gingrich $10 million? as I type, both Jeb Bush and Rubio are angling to get him as their personal benefactor. you see, my top post is about GOP candidates wanting to be OWNED by their own personal billionaires.

do you really think all those financial institutions will give to Hillary this time? they all gave to Romney in 2012. good for her if they do.

yes, Hillary will rant against "big money" because the public is finally starting to catch on that Citizens United could be the ultimate destroyer of our democratic republic. all that dark money ie unnamed, floating around and billionaires thinking they can buy our government.

I remember when repub/cons believed in full disclosure of campaign contributions. now they don't.

the top post is very simple. I asked if you could match the candidate with the billionaire.

I'm sorry that you can't read.
I'm talking about billionaires giving to ONE republican prez wannabe. that is, buying ONE candidate.
your list is millionaires spreading their money around, as Soros does, to Democrats and progressive organizations. even repub millionaires do that, but it's only rightwing billionaires who think they can BUY a repub candidate.

Well, if you're looking for advice on how to post strictly on your talking point, without ever deviating from it to address debate, facts, related topics, or alternate perspectives, I suggest reviewing the work of Bugs, Julie and any of the other paid posters, they have a good handle on the "fingers in the ears" tactic...

I'm sorry you can't understand that you guys pretty much only HAVE one candidate... so where do you think all that money is going?

I laugh when right wingers start talking about Soros. If he didn't exist, you would have to make him up. Comparing the money he invests with the money the right wing billionaire club invests is really comical. Here is a hint for you. Soros invests to give a voice to the little guy. None of the right wing billionaires care one bit about joe blow, not one bit.

Branch out? The topic julie chose was GOP megadonors and the GOPs they bankroll. If you wanna discuss Dem megadonors and the Dems they bankroll,do your own top-post. Not a single ROC poster even touched julie's topic. Not one. Each chose to change the subject.
