Remember the Proud Boys who got arrested in NY? Antifa harrassed them, vandalized the venue, and provoked them for 2 days..... and they finally got the fight they had been eager to start. I'm not saying it was self-defense on the part of the Proud Boys, it was most certainly a case of mutual combat.... but only the Proud Boys got arrested, and only they will be prosecuted.
Look at the politics of city officials in just about any major city, the DAs, the Mayors, etc.... who are they sympathetic to? Who do they demonize? Do they lean left or right?
These are the folks who will have a huge influence on whether you get arrested, what you get charged with, and how hard you are prosecuted, and they have a million dollar war-chest made up of your taxes to fund their campaign against you, and they have local news outlets that will publish their version of events to smear you.
Think about it.
