    Seeing a beam splitter at work always gives me a thrill, the reason why you can see the light is because
    it's around a 635 nm wavelength, so it's visible light, the visible light range is from 420 up to 690, but some
    people can see 700's, and they appear blue

    Beam splitters split a wavelength, and the mechanism is prism halves with reflective coatings on the hypotenus
