Bottles not cans!

United Steelworkers is calling a boycott of beer in cans in support of locked-out workers at Crown Holdings, which makes one out of five beverage cans in the world, including cans used for well-known brands such as Budweiser, Coors, Molson, and Labatt's, and one out of three food cans in North America.

Until Crown ends the lockout, I will not be buying beer in cans.

Bad for them. Beer in aluminium cans save more flavour because there is no light passing through it. When you buy beer in a bottle, you always risk to be out of conceit with your favorite beer. :(

If you're drinking beer that's that old, you've got more problems than just the container!

There's nothing better than a swig of beer right out of the bottle.
Agreed. As long as it isn't room temperature.

An update: the fight between Crown and USW has ended with a narrow majority of workers approving a new 6-year contract. Striking workers were guaranteed their jobs back, or enhanced retirement/severance packages, and workers were guaranteed a 2% annual raise for the lifetime of the contract, but the union was forced to close its office in the plant, pay was cut by 50% for the lowest-paid workers, and overtime pay was reduced.

good news and bad news, the latter being the screwing that new workers are getting in contracts.
