We will soon see what that means.
The conspiracy theories weren't true.
Behind the headline - The devil is in the details:
The IG probe identified at least 17 "significant" errors in the Page applications and said they would launch a new audit into the FISA process.
Yay! More investigating!
Meanwhile, a key FBI player during the time frame, former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, has been facing the prospect of federal charges after Horowitz faulted him in a separate inquiry over statements he made during a Hillary Clinton-related investigation. The review found that McCabe "lacked candor" when talking with investigators, but the former FBI official has denied wrongdoing. McCabe has not been indicted.
So, apparently, there is more to come.....
Did anyone think Mueller's Buttboy was going to throw any of his cronies under the bus ? LOL
The IG report was predictable.
Durham's is the one that could make heads roll.
It's always going to be the next time.
Like the Dossier? Like Mueller ?
(Oh ya this report destroyed that)
Broader jurisdiction and scope were always going to favor Durham’s effort. The US Attorney can reach farther, work with other agencies, and make a case for malice much more effectively than an IG can.
Don't get your hopes up.
While the Inspector General’s report found that the surveillance was precipitated by the tip off from a foreign government, meaning the tip from the Australian government, the report found that the Steele Dossier played an outsized role in getting the FISA warrant and that the justification for the surveillance was riddled with errors and inaccuracies.
The report called the FISA warrants against Carter Page “inaccurate, incomplete and unsupported.” LOL
It was built upon Democratic opposition research, paid for from Russians, and then weaponized through the FBI.
Let’s hope the Durham investigation will hold people responsible.
John Durham says otherwise
Good luck with the conspiracy theories.
Like the dossier ? That you sucked on for 3 years ?
"Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened.....our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S.”
Durham's investigation and resources far exceeds Horowitz who has no ability to charge anyone or look outside the DOJ. We shall see what Durham has found.
Don't get your hopes up, it iss after all just a conspiracy theory.
You remember Benghazi?
Right-wingers thought the 8th investigation would uncover something that 1st one didn't.
It was foolish then and its foolish now.
Like your phony impeachment.
Earlier in the week rumors had it IG Horowitz would report he found "no political bias" in the FBI's investigation of the Trump campaign. Maybe that's what's to come?
After laughing that off it struck me as very similar to Comey exonerating Clinton because she had "no intent " to have highly classified materials on her personal unsecured server,
Very similar, just as lame, and just as funny. Then I remembered reading somewhere that back in the early 90's Mr Comey and Mr. Horowitz worked together in the US Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York and they became friends. James became Jim
Though you gotta wonder who'd want Mike for a friend........
Inspector General Michael Horowitz is preparing a "damning report"on former FBI director James Comey's conduct and has referred him for possible prosecution
DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz testified before the House Committee on Oversight and Reform on Wednesday morning. Horowitz revealed to lawmakers that he criminally referred former FBI Director James Comey for prosecution
The Department of Justice’s Inspector General Michael Horowitz is preparing a report recommending a criminal referral for FBI Director James Comey, concluding that he leaked classified memos..
So look at the dates.....July, August, and September of this year. This being December that' a pretty quick, call it abrupt, change of opinion. And if the IG get's him off the hook then you have to wonder who got to him?
Which leads to this......
If they really are going to charge the former head of the FBI with a crime, even if it is a gigantic vag like James Comey, he’s still got connections, friends and people that owe him shit in the agency. If you charge him, it will become more difficult to contain, and his allies will go into protect mode (particularly of themselves).
You forgot to add Trump’s comment today that IG Horowitz report reveals giant treasonous conspiracy to undermine him and the US government. Even so, on this thread, one of your cohorts has referred to Horowitz as “Mueller’s Buttboy”.
Durham’s comments today seem reasonable, but nothing specific. I am inclined to believe that Barr urged Durham to release this very unusual letter to take the sting out of Horowitz report. My question to you is: If and when Durham releases HIS report and it turns out to be a nothingburger, will you just change your Avitar and join your cohorts in calling Mr. Durham a Deep State Butt Boy too?
Criminals don't investigate other criminals
We need to clean house completely and start over.
IF ANYONE HAS BEEN IN THE GOVERNMENT MORE THAN 6 YEARS THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED
I have a question
How can you say an investigation is politically biased when everybody is of the same political affiliation? One might say he was a democrat or she's a Republican but really they are of one political party the government.
So I have come to the conclusion there wasn't any political bias
It's now US vs them.
I'd go with 4 years. And ALL senior management at the FBI, DOJ, CIA, and NSA need to go. They're all corrupt, and possibly traitors.
Separate names with a comma.
