The protesters are absolutely innocent until as individuals proven to be among those who "riot, maim, shoot cops, and loot." Protesting is not illegal. Anyone who protests police murdering civilians is on the side of morality.
A quite reasonable approach to this issue. One I agree with by the way.
The hard part of using this logic is having to apply it to both sides of the matter.
For example, you and I both agree that, as you stated, "
The protesters are absolutely innocent until as individuals proven to be among those who "riot, maim, shoot cops, and loot."
But a problem arises if I try to say the same thing about the other side, say like,
"
The police are absolutely innocent until as individuals proven to be among those who "murder, maim, or shoot innocent civilians."
Or, "
Policing/protecting is not illegal."
Or, "Anyone who "protests police" murdering civilians by themselves attacking and killing other innocent civilians is nowhere NEAR the side of morality."
Or, "Protesting is not illegal....but burning, stealing, beating and killing others IS"
Perhaps a little later you might post something similar and see if anyone takes issue with your logic then, I would just be curious to see the results.
