Nothing has gotten into me. I'm free to express my ideas here just like anyone else.

Your ideas being expressed are one thing. But making others suffer or be deprived because of your own personal ideas are quite another. And that's what you are trying to do. Deprive others because you don't like the ratings.

If you like, I can give you specific instructions on how not to get alerts for the ratings you get. Surely you can find it in yourself to ignore the little notification on the bottom of the post. Any adult should be able to easily do that. Let me know if you need help with the alerts.

As we all know, there are a few posters who abuse the ratings. It was predicted and it came to pass immediately.

I feel so sorry for those incapacitated and cast with such suffering by a lack of ratings buttons. That certainly puts Houston...and Beaumont...and Port Arthur et al in perspective. How thoughtless of me.

I am just dumbfounded by your thought that a rating system could silence anyone here. Really?

We used to have emoticons like other forums have, but Lefty hated that too and claimed it was being "silenced" or "ridiculed" so they were taken away.

But you already knew that, didn't you.
