Check out how well Trump's steel barrier works

ladders, bro.
Hundreds of years ago that was solved.

Pouring pots of boiling oil down ladders really cut down on the number of folks who COULD climb the ladder from wanting to actually DO so.

I'll bet we could come up with SOMETHING as equally as effective at discouraging those who CAN from wanting to be one who DOES, you?

OK, sure.

And to follow that same "logic", we're all in agreement that US citizens possess the ability to do something, which renders the payment of unemployment pointless, right?
Being able to do something does not guarantee employment
Because we're all in agreement that US citizens possess the ability to get somewhere out of the direct elements, which renders the payment for gubmint housing pointless, right?
What?
And we're all in agreement that US citizens possess the ability to teach their own children about life, which renders the paying for public education pointless, right?
Not an efficient use of resources

No, they ALL can't climb a wall. Many could, sure, some could dig under it, some could fly over it, some could cut through it, many others could just then follow through. Doesn't mean it isn't worth trying. Isn't worth making it harder to do.
Spending $5 Billion on something that is effectively a minor nuisance is not use a good use of our limited resources.

30 foot walls with cameras and motion detectors and Border Patrol on the backside means not boiling oil needed.

First of all, NBC is lying to you. Those weren't sawed, they were cut with a torch. Know any illegals carrying such an item through the desert on their quest to break into the US?
How do you know...were you there? Maybe they should be made out of barbed wire to keep the "animals" out. At least that's what Donald Jr. referred to them as in a tweet he later removed. Like father like son, blatant racist pigs.

Because nobody can break through a concrete wall.

If someone could be in a position to watch our law being broken, (as is apparent here), is there some reason you feel someone who is there to prevent our law from being broken couldn't see the same thing and prevent it from happening?

And they can do that now, without wasting a fortune on a dumbass wall.

30 foot ladders? On both sides of the wall? With cameras and motion detectors?
By the time the Border (Trump spells it Boarder) Patrol got there though, they'd be long gone. Do you think they'd leave their names and photo ID's?

Maybe one of his pals took it. Bragging, like Trump when he does something he feels is worthwhile puffing out his flabby chest.

I know.

Which prompted me to write the, "I'll bet we could come up with SOMETHING as equally as effective at discouraging those who CAN from wanting to be one who DOES, you?", part.

But it wouldn't be nearly as entertaining to watch people howl about . Probably wouldn't be as effective either. There is just something about someone going all medieval on your ass that demands the respect of criminals for some reason.
