Shame on these political hacks, as they used to say "A pox on these buggers" They don't care how much harm the delays they cause harm the people that are having their lives disrupted and destroyed. I hope they remember when they vote again.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Democrats on Thursday stalled President Donald Trump’s request for $250 billion to supplement a “paycheck protection” program for businesses crippled by the coronavirus outbreak, demanding protections for minority-owned businesses and money for health care providers and state and local governments.

They blocked a request by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to give the unanimous consent necessary to fast-track Trump’s request.

“We need more funding and we need it fast,” McConnell said as he opened the Senate, assuring them there would be future bills to deal with other issues.

“Do not block emergency aid you do not oppose just because you want something more,” McConnell said.

WASHINGTON (AP) — An urgent $250 billion request by President Donald Trump to supplement a business “paycheck protection” program for firms crippled by the coronavirus outbreak faces a roadblock Thursday in the Senate.

Democrats have signaled they’ll block the request when it’s offered by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Democrats want add-ons and protections to make sure businesses in disadvantaged communities are able to participate.

As PJ's official small government, free market curmudgeon, let me reiterate my opposition to any bailouts for
1. Cruise lines
2. Airlines
3. Casinos
4. Liquor companies
5. Pot ranchers
6. Wall street
7. Hotels
8. Spendthrift state and local governments already deeply in debt
9. AT&T
10. Apple
11. Google
12. Facebook
13. Twitter
14. General Motors
15. Tesla
16. Any company which contributed $1mm or more to a politician in the last election cycle
17. Any company which bough back it's own shares during the past 2 years

Want me to keep going . . . ?

THE HORROR!!!! Sneaky Democrats trying to make sure that the $250 billion paycheck protection program is equally applied to minority owned businesses, health care providers and businesses in disadvantaged communities. It’s as they don’t trust Trump‘s lackeys to not to use the money to funnel to his buddies and prospective donors. It’s a travesty, I tell ya. Whose $$ is it anyway?
