Despair

Lol The Court was installed by Tony Blair so that he could get his Iraq war through the Lords = he disbanded the House of Lords.

`freedom of speech and debates or proceedings in Parliament ought not to be impeached or questioned in any court or place out of Parliament'.

And Boris Johnson did just that didnt he?

Closed parliament so they couldn't speak or debate.

Pogue Mahone

Legalize it.
I think Britain's only chance of getting out of the EU at this point is for Boris or Nigel to convince the leaders of a disgruntled EU member to vote against granting another extension. Really if the UK can't get out, it'll mean nobody will be able to get out. Any nation that wants to keep the option to leave in the future on the table might just want to think about blocking any future extensions.

Lol They need our money darling and our military.

The only way forward now is to cancel the Gov's blocking of the Tilbrook case which argues that May's extension to Art 50 was gained illegally ( which I agree with) because it was not put to a vote - meaning that we actually left the EU on the 29th March 2019.

The Gov knows this so really all this bs about a deal is in fact about a new treaty with the EU.

How? They got their Surrender Bill through. They have taken over Parliament - they will have time enough after the Queen's speech - how does 17-21 hrs less of Parliamentary time make any difference?
Only because the supreme Court overruled him.

He sure was trying to though.

Art 9 Bill of Rights 1689

`freedom of speech and debates or proceedings in Parliament ought not to be impeached or questioned in any court or place out of Parliament'. It is the single most important parliamentary privilege. Article 9 affords legal immunity (`ought not to be questioned') to members for what they say or do in `proceedings in Parliament'. The immunity applies in `any court or place out of Parliament'.

- means that the London Court's ruling, by our highest judges, that 'this was a purely political matter' was under our own constitution, correct. What the SC has proved is that they are, in effect, a Vichy Regime court.

And Boris Johnson was trying to stifle the freedom of speech and debate of parliament by doing what he did.

Your supreme Court overruled him.

Nobody else wants to leave. Especially after how disastrous Brexit has been.

That is not the case at all; for Party Conferences Parliament doesn't sit anyway - apart from those weeks Parliament was prorogued for 17-21 hours only, as is usual before the Queens speech. That is beside the point though; within our constitution it is clearly stated that judges should keep their corrupt noses out of Parliamentary business as they did when John major prorogued so as not to have to answer some difficult questions over the 'cash for questions' scandal.

You had your War of Independence - now we have ours.
