The Epstein case was getting a lot of media attention. Trump had to do something to make that story go away for awhile.

It's an interesting theory. Trump is crazy like a fox. Based on his track record, though, it's probably just his typical lack of restraint and verbal clumsiness.

Yes- It was a distraction. So much so my squad had to have conferences and news interviews to SAY it was a distraction instead of working

Why would President Trump want to take attention away from Epstein's close relationship with Bill Clinton (23 flights on the Lolita Express) and other prominent Democrats in Washington, Hollywood, New York, and Florida?

Once Trump is cleared of any involvement with Epstein, you'll be begging us to forget about him.
