We still make a few good things but not like the good old days before a terrible terrible woman called Mary Whitehouse made so much fuss that censorship and 'morality' entered through the door of 'Art' now there is the good old PC and the Race Relations Act and all sorts of things interfereing with freedom of speach and thought and so expression, we are very mild now I find but there are a few honest voices that still get through .................... and we do have youtube for a dip into what we used to have. Look up 'Til Death Us Do Part' (Alf Garnett) on youtube, The Sweeny and Z Cars were more honest in their day and now we have a Detecive series based in the sixties ...mmm forgot his name, shall tell you next time it's on. The Wednesday Play was a 'the pubs were empty' night, no videos then. There was real freedom then, Whitehouse put a stop to it all, our honest exploring under the heading of morality ....stupid woman spent th rest of her life watching porn !!!! Telling us how wicked it was and why we can't see it too ................... The Wednesday Plays were nothing like Porn ! Nor 'The Magic Roundabout' she had that banned because the animals seemed stoned ! Children and Adults alike loved it.
