Earth just experienced one of the warmest years on record

139 years of manipulating data? How old is the Earth? 4.5 BILLION YEARS?

And you wonder why thinking people laugh at your joke of a Cult.
The warming is not consistent with periodic oscillations in temperature. If it had done anything like this for tens of millions of years, the evidence would be all over the geological record.

Meanwhile, there’s more news on the steadily melting glaciers of the world.

Trump’s response was to happily announce in the SOTU the increased production of oil and coal. That was met by wild applause and a standing O by the Republicans at the SOTU.

We must face reality - GOP ignorance is literally destroying our planet.

The planet will survive. What may not is human civilization.

Yes because we all know that if we can't go banck to the big bang that any data we collect will be incomplete and therefore not mean anything.

So by all means, let's just ass fuckk the American economy based on the OPINION of some hack on George Soros's payroll.

And you wonder why everybody laughs at [Unwelcome language removed] liberal morons.
There is a robust consensus in the community of competent people whose “opinions” reflect the evidence. Climate change today already causes more damage to the economy than mitigation efforts.

https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2018/02/ross-ice-shelf-bore-antarctica-freezing/
The surprises began almost as soon as a camera was lowered into the first borehole, around December 1. The undersides of ice shelves are usually smooth due to gradual melting. But as the camera passed through the bottom of the hole, it showed the underside of the ice adorned with a glittering layer of flat ice crystals—like a jumble of snowflakes—evidence that in this particular place, sea water is actually freezing onto the base of the ice instead of melting it.

“It blew our minds,” says Christina Hulbe, a glaciologist from the University of Otago in New Zealand, who co-led the expedition. The Ross Ice Shelf is considered more stable, at present, than many of West Antarctica’s other floating shelves—and this observation could help explain that: if a few inches of sea water periodically freezes onto the bottom of its ice, this could buffer it from thinning more rapidly.

Uh, snowflake. I thought the planet was WARMING?
Global warming is not inconsistent with local cooling. Think of a convection oven with a couple ice cubes in it.

You can't spell MORON without the (R). The economy does far better under Democratic Presidents than republicans ones.

https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/obama-trump-booming-economy/

For eight years, President Obama presided over the worst economic recovery in modern times. For six years, he blamed Republicans in Congress for thwarting his spending agenda and hampering growth. In his last two years in office, he claimed that 2% growth was the best we could hope for. And in his last year in office, while the economy was again stalling out, Obama claimed that Trump's tax cuts and deregulation would only make things worse.

But now that we're in the midst of a booming economy — which kicked in after Trump reversed almost all Obama's economic policies — we're supposed to believe that it's Obama who deserves all the credit.

https://www.nytimes.com/1990/01/17/opinion/the-reagan-boom-greatest-ever.html

The two key measures that mark a depression or expansion are jobs and production. Let's look at the records that were set. Creation of jobs. From November 1982, when President Ronald Reagan's new economic program was beginning to take effect, to November 1989, 18.7 million new jobs were created. It was a world record: Never before had so many jobs been created during a comparable time period. The new jobs covered the entire spectrum of work, and more than half of them paid more than $20,000 a year. As total employment grew to 119.5 million, the rate of unemployment fell to slightly over 5 percent, the lowest level in 15 years. Creation of wealth.

The amount of wealth produced during this seven year period was stupendous - some $30 trillion worth of goods and services. Again, it was a world record. Never before had so much wealth been produced during a comparable period. According to a recent study, net asset values - including stocks, bonds and real estate - went up by more than $5 trillion between 1982 and 1989, an increase of roughly 50 percent.

There are other important measures. Steady economic growth. As we begin the decade of the 1990's, we are in our 86th straight month of economic growth - a new record for peacetime, five months longer than the wartime growth of World War II and only 23 months short of the wartime record set during the Vietnam War in the 1960's. Most experts now predict that it will last right through 1990, and perhaps beyond.

So Ronald Reagan leads the pack with an astounding 15% increase in the EPI from when he took office until he handed the reins to George H.W. Bush.

No matter how advocates of big government try to rewrite history, Ronald Reagan's record of fiscal responsibility continues to stand as the most successful economic policy of the 20th century.

Take a look at the so-called peer-reviewed study. It was a survey of engineers and geoscientists - these people do not study the earth's climate they look for OIL. They surveyed people who have a vested interest in the fossil fuel industry.

Here is a decent take down of the article.

If you interview a bunch of people whose salaries are dependent on continuing exploitation of fossil fuels what would you expect?

I'd expect them to find oil

As great as I am I cannot stop the stupidity of the right.
It's global warming, Climate accessibility, the big freeze(circa 1978) Climate Change, weather differential and you can fix anything. All you can do is name call. Must be a horrible life for you and it will only get worse when you find out you are no better than anyone else. Abraham Lincoln took care of that...but you still haven't learn your lesson.

Now you can get back to your Klantifa meeting.

Stop being a name calling liberal and it won't be a waste. Gee that was too easy. I thought you were supposed to be superior. You just walked into that one. You can't spell "Duh!" with out the (D).

Please! This is what WE need to keep the old Depends Wearing Liberals in check.
We have to scare them with pseudo-science!

We developed a simple scare tactic for simple people: Hurricanes, Ocean levels, Tornadoes, Heat Waves, Cold Snaps, Snow, Drought & Rain - ALL OF IT YOU CAN CRY ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE !! AND DEMAND THE GOVERNMENT 'DO SOMETHING' !!!!

Isn't it amazing ? Better yet, we can profit from the dumb Liberals who think their money can change climate . I'm laughing just thinking it. Suckers.

The sharp vertical spike at the end of the chart is over too short a time period to even show up on such a chart.
the sharp vertical spike of one degree Celsius that does show up is easier to see if you click on the chart and view it full size.

we still are 2 degrees colder than the past 2000 year record and about 6 degrees colder than the past 500,000 year record.

... but you knew that.
