Extreme weather could cause a massive economic recession 'like we've never seen before

The word “recession” is not strong enough. Left unchecked, climate change will result in global catastrophe. Wingers should listen to the Department of Defense in this regard, since they hate scientists. The DOD knows what’s coming if the present right wing policies continue.

Reported in the Military Times:

“Report on Effects of a Changing Climate to the Department of Defense”

The Pentagon did not assess all of its hundreds of installations, instead it selected “79 mission assurance priority installations based on their operational role.”

In its assessment of those 79 installations, which included Army, Air Force and Navy installations — and notably no Marine Corps bases — the services reported that 53 of the 79 faced current threats from flooding; 43 of the 79 face current threats from drought and 36 of the 79 faced current threats from wildfires.

The DOD also forecasts the worldwide displacements that climate change will bring about, which will lead to rampant chaos and war as people struggle to survive.

It was in 2010 that the DOD began a serious study of the effects of climate change. That was during the Obama admin. obviously. I'm surprised Trump hasn't figured out a way to make them stop....since he's trying to disappear Obama.
