fetal tissue research

In 1988, during the Reagan administration, a panel of experts from the National Institutes of Health overwhelmingly voted in favor of allowing scientists to study biological material obtained from legal abortions. By a 19 to 0 vote, the group concluded that the practice should be considered morally acceptable because aborted fetal tissue is analogous to cadaver tissue, which is often used in scientific research.

And in 1993, members of Congress on both sides of the aisle voted to legalize fetal tissue research, even in cases when the samples were obtained from legal abortion procedures, when they approved the National Institutes of Health Revitalization Act.

actually, this research has been going on since the 1930s, but I've posted the above facts to show that this was a non-partisan issue.

The deal wasn't so Planned Parenthood could make money off it....nobody that I know of has condemned the research. We're condemning PP for making money off that research. In other words....selling baby parts for profit.

are you stupid or lying? how many times has this been gone over?

PP was not making money for facilitating donations of fetal tissue for research. the money collected, usually around $30. to $100., was used to cover the cost of transferring the specimens to the research labs.

PP announced that they will now absorb these costs in the hope of disarming the freaks who continue to lie about this matter.

Obviously we've had sickies in Congress for a long time.
Now, the ghouls who elected them are coming out of the closet.
Sickening and very very sick.

would you like me to post about the medical discoveries that have come from research using fetal tissue?

There are times and ways that it may be appropriate to use fetal tissue. What PP did was sell baby parts to the highest bidder for profit. That is what I am and always will be opposed to.

PP did not sell fetal tissue, *edited*

they accepted donations, $30 to $100. to cover the cost of transferring the specimens to the research centers.

why don't you write a post about Dr Ben Carson's use of fetal tissue for research?

Oh quit your lying.

Stemexpress, the company PP did business with the most, is not a research company. They're a middle man. And right on their website they offer the possibility that handsome profits can be gotten by clinics who participate with them. On abortion days, PP collected "specimens", kep them in the fridge (which they jokingly call the nursery) and transferred them at the end of the day in ONE container. Often the broker or research company picked the container up as well. But even when they had to ship, it was ONE container shipped. So a container that cost thirty dollars to ship overnight could contain as many as 20 or 30 "specimens" that PP was "reimbursed" for at the rate of 30 to 100 dollars per.
And this comes from a former PP Employee of the Year.

And still, Cecile Richards wrote a letter to the WHO telling them they would no longer send fetal parts and whining about how that should stop the "attack".
Sorry Cecile. We won't stop telling the truth and showing the videos of your help talking about not crushing babies' heads when they have cash value.

And the same argument was made in defense of treating slaves like garbage that is made in defense of killing unborn children: "they're not people." "They're not capable of living quality lives." "They can't function independently."

So why don't you prove it? There's been tons of proof that they made money off this. Where's the proof they didn't? Did they keep records of the "donations", what they were for and who made those "donations"? Or are you just believing PP because they told you to? If you've watched any of those videos, and you still believe them, that says a lot about you.

I also don't think anyone has said fetal tissue research shouldn't be done, so you trying to bring Carson into this means nothing. For probably the thousandth time, it's about MAKING MONEY OF FETAL PARTS. You can call names and cry all you want, you're wrong.

there is no evidence that PP made money off facilitating the transfer of fetal tissue to research labs.
