Fox News is supporting CNN's lawsuit against the Trump administration over the White House's revocation of Jim Acosta's press pass and plans to file an amicus brief in the case, according to a statement from the network's president Jay Wallace.

"FOX News supports CNN in its legal effort to regain its White House reporter’s press credential. We intend to file an amicus brief with the U.S. District Court. Secret Service passes for working White House journalists should never be weaponized. While we don’t condone the growing antagonistic tone by both the President and the press at recent media avails, we do support a free press, access and open exchanges for the American people."

Bless you all
Still has no legal merit since CNN can easily send a different reporter to cover the White House press conferences. Acosta abused the privilege more than once and continued to escalate his antics therefore the privilege (for him specifically) was revoked. CNN is not blocked for offering up a replacement.

Awaiting next lame issue for Lefties to be fauxtraged about... :D

There's another POTUS election coming in 2020 and FOX is aware that DJT may not be the winner of that one and that he is setting a bad precedent.

In the Orwellian Republic of Trumplandia, the residents believe that Dear Leader Trump should be allowed to dictate which reporters can, and cannot, cover events.

Trump, the wimp, didn't like the questions, so he had a temper tantrum. Real presidents can take the heat from the press. Trump is a fake president.

Bet Trump would like to order "something happen" to Acosta....like his thug buddies Putin and that fool prince in Saudi Arabia do.....murder journalists.

Sorry Bugsy, just because your panties are wadded over it doesn't make Acosta's behavior at press conferences right nor defensible. His privilege has been revoked just as it should have.

Better luck next time!

The smart people at FoxNews....not Hannity or the other Douche bags.....are undoubtedly getting sick of Trump, his lies, and calling journalists the "enemy of the people."

If you watch Trump's face from the very beginning after he called on Acosta, you can see him clinching his jaws and didn't even let Acosta finish his first question before going into attack mode.

Anyone with a common sense knows this was a set up by psychopathic Trump.

Acosta reminds me of British journalists. They don't ask a question, get rebuffed and meekly sit down. They continue questioning....until they get answers.

If on the odd chance cnns Acosta lawsuit succeeds, does this mean a precedent is set that any one person has a constitutional right to be present and query the president or his representatives?

This isn’t about reporters’ behavior. They exhibit no behavior at all unless Trump calls on them. Trump wanted a circus so he called on Acosta (as he always does) to start a fight and then ban him to mollify the Trump rabble. And you support Trump’s antics. He knows his rabble well.

It's absolutely about Acosta's behavior and his abuse of the privilege of a White House pass. Sorry, but due to reality...you lose!

Having press credentials entitles them to be present without fear of arbitrary discrimination. But there is no right to “query” Trump - Trump chooses which reporters to call on. He called on Acosta to start a circus.

Again, the reporters exhibit no behavior at all if Trump doesn’t call on them. Trump chose to call on him and then banned him to mollify his rabid cultists.

Seemingly not arbitrary. ..or does Acosta not have a track record of contentious behavior?
