The 1st amendment is to prevent government from inhibiting free speech. As businesses can't operate without a government-issued license, government refusing to issue or revoking a business license because of an owner or operator 's speech is government interfering with free speech.

As it stands we absolutely do not have free speech. We are only allowed to articulate some opinions but not others. It seems to be acceptable to call each other terrible names, accuse each other of terrible things and engage in demonstrations that become quite unwieldy that often result in vandalism. With all of that however there are certain words that we must not say or our entire life's contributions are tossed aside as being evil. It has reached a point of being quite ridiculous.

An aspect of that is racism. People should be allowed to be racist if they want to. While it should not be allowed in places supported by general gov't funds, it should be allowed in private businesses as long as it is clearly indicated as such. After all, if a person sacrifices much and works long hours to build a business he/she should be able to decide how it functions. They would be taking their own chances that by limiting their clientele their business might not survive, but it would be their own choice. As long as it was clearly indicated there would be no reason for those not welcome to be upset. They would know to just avoid that particular business.

Yes we are all allowed to your own opinions and if that opinion offends others its Ok no one has be nice.. You are allowed to offer a constructive criticism of others even if they are offended. As long as you do not heartened them free speech allows you to say what you think about their opinions.
I think that I can say I do not want my grandkids to be expose to a transgender teachers in grammar school. Its too much for any young child to be forced to have a transgender teacher announce her sexuality on my grandkids. If any transgender people are offended by my opinion. I don't care. I do not want any transgender teaching my grandkids.. Is it prejudges on a-my side yes but that is life you will have disagreements and you have to live with the disagreements. Wait until the Grandkids are a little older before introducing a transgender teacher at least until high school.
At the same time I realize that eventually they will be exposed to transgenders but it does not have to be introduced in kindergarten or in grammar school its one thing that can wait until the child is a teenager .

Actually we are talking about business practices, not speech. You are allowed to say what ever you like. My question is about business practices.
