Grimes Files Immediate Injunction

Rebuild With Biden!

Not too surprised by his underhanded tactics, McConnell appears desperate in his campaign efforts, especially to send out fliers, like those mentioned in the read below -- trying to intimidate voters.
----
Alison Lundergan Grimes, Democratic candidate in the Kentucky senate race, has taken immediate legal action against her opponent, Mitch McConnell for attempting voter fraud and suppression via a mailer McConnell sent out to voters.
The Courier-Journal reports:
Alison Lundergan Grimes’ U.S. Senate campaign said it has filed suit in Franklin Circuit Court alleging that the Republican Party of Kentucky is trying to suppress voter turnout in Eastern Kentucky, where it sent official-looking mailers that say “Election Violation Notice” on the envelope, and is asking for a criminal investigation into voter intimidation.
“This is clearly a scare tactic, and what they are doing to try to manipulate voters,” said Jonathan Hurst, Grimes’ campaign manager.
U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth, D-Louisville, called the mailer “despicable” and said that it was “sheer desperation” on the part of Sen. Mitch McConnell during an interview on MSNBC’s All in With Chris Hayes. According to The Courier-Journal, Hurst, Grimes’ campaign manager, said the campaign believes the mailer may violate criminal voter suppression law and has asked Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway to investigate the matter.
The Grimes campaign has issued the following statement:
McConnell himself authorized Kentucky GOP to launch despicable mailers designed to intimidate Kentuckians from exercising their right to vote

It looks like nothing more than a Republican borrowing a few tricks from the uber left wingers, I sort of think its a great idea to use their tactics against them.

The 11 top lies of Mitch 'Myth' McConnell
byJon PerrFollow forDaily Kos
With Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell facing a tough re-election battle back home in Kentucky, Washington Post columnist and Fox News regular George Will rushed to the defense of his fellow human-turtle hybrid. Returning the 30-year veteran to Capitol Hill, Will proclaimed, is about nothing less than the "restoration of the Senate's dignity."

Will's warning would be hilarious if it weren't so grotesque. Mitch McConnell, after all, is the man most responsible for the GOP's unprecedented obstructionism during President Obama's tenure. Under his leadership, Senate Republicans shattered the record for filibusters and blocked Obama's judicial and executive branch nominees at rates unimaginable before 2009.

Nevertheless, the same Mitch McConnell who on November 4, 2010, declared, "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president," less than a year later complained about Democrats' "storyline" that "there must be some villain out there who's keeping this administration from succeeding."

But McConnell's unique parliamentary skills are only one weapon in his kamikaze campaign to sink the Democratic agenda under President Obama. As it turns out, Mitch McConnell is also the GOP's mythmaker-in-chief, a hyper-partisan more than willing to tell the biggest lies on the biggest issues in order to mislead the American public, all in the service of his Republican Party.

Whether he's discussing taxes, health care, the economy, the debt, or pretty much anything else, virtually all of Myth McConnell's talking points are tried—and untrue.

This is a bit different than the usual voter fraud, it's about trying to scare/intimidate people with a mailer, sent out by McConnell, so they won't vote.

It is more detailed in the link.

The mailer warns, "You are at risk of acting on fraudulent information" that the mailer said is being disseminated to voters. According to the suit, it went to voters in Boyd, Perry and Leslie counties.

Shocking Mitch McConnell Mailer Suggests Kentucky Voters Involved in ‘Election Fraud’

Image of the mailer being sent by McConnell.

Inside the mailer reads:

Dear Citizen,
This document serves as a notification to you, as a resident of Kentucky and a registered voter in the aforementioned commonwealth, of fraudulent information that is being deliberately spread to voters in your area. The information that has been red-flagged as 100% false is being purposely spread by the campaign of the federal candidate named below:

Alison Lundergan Grimes.
With the campaign for United States Senate nearly complete, Alison Lundergan Grimes has chosen to launch an advertising campaign that independent sources prove is filled with blatant lies intended solely to deceive Kentucky voters.
