So am I, my country gave The Khazars a land which was not theirs to give -I do not know everything though and every day I still learn more. Miko Peled is an amazing Jewish voice, he is from an important Zionist family, his niece was killed by a suicide bomber and, with respect, he should be listened to --I'm familiar with the history of Israel.
Are you British? Calling all Jews "The Khazars" is a stretch. I've always found it odd that most antisemitism has a European basis. For a part of the world that is much further Left than the US, it's an oddity for them to hate Jews.So am I, my country gave The Khazars a land which was not theirs to give -I do not know everything though and every day I still learn more. I don't call all Jews Khazars --- nor have I ever had a problem with any Jew on a personal level -- I simply clarify, as in This Empire is The Jewish Empire, which in it's self is not a judgement, just a fact. Beyond that I will and do criticize it as I would and do any other Empire from History. Are you British? Calling all Jews "The Khazars" is a stretch. "Most scholars are sceptical about the hypothesis (that has its roots in the late 19th century) that Khazars became a major component in the ethnogenesis of the Ashkenazic Jews when the latter emigrated from Germany to Polan (13th Century), Belarus' and Ukraine (beginning with the 15th century), and, hence, are reluctant to pursue the search for the possible descendants of the Khazars."
Not odd at all. Leftism and anti-Semitism go hand in hand. Always have and always will. It's why the left is so supportive of radical islam...Are you British? I don't quite accept that premise, but there do seem to be similarities between certain Leftist or Socialist groups and antisemitism. A link that goes beyond simple anti-religion, which is a much more strongly linked association. Not odd at all. Leftism and anti-Semitism go hand in hand. Always have and always will. There are several forums here that lend themselves to that: Jacked Up, General posts. Is there a fun forum for pictures and non-political chat? I saw the "private forum" note, but don't know what that is.
Thanks for the info, @Jen.There are several forums here that lend themselves to that: Jacked Up, General posts.
We had the ability to have our own forum in the Best Of section for a while and were told we would be able to moderate it ourselves, but that didn't work out and people bombed our personal blogs with nasty things. I had mine removed because of that.
I have asked for a private conservative forum and others may have done the same. If there is one I haven't been invited to it. I think there is a private liberal forum.
I don't see an end to the division. Thanks for the info, @Jen.
I'm not much for restricting others from discussion. One problem our nation has now is too much division. As the great Republican Abraham Lincoln once said, "A house divided against itself cannot stand." Isolating ourselves from the opinions of others, no matter how repugnant, is taking an ostrich approach to reality.
Better to face the fact our nation is fairly divided between Left and Right, but recognize that most of those are in the middle. Most people are more worried about their families than peering into the bedrooms or closets of others.

Agreed about no end to division, but disagreed that it is sad. What is sad is when we are so divided we don't even talk to each other.I don't see an end to the division.
It is sad to be this way.
I have reached out.............. and the result that once was good, is not nice anymore.
There are moments here.Agreed about no end to division, but disagreed that it is sad. What is sad is when we are so divided we don't even talk to each other.
Married couples who don't talk to each other are headed for divorce. That's bad for a couple and much worse for our nation.
Best to talk about it.
Agreed about catching moments. There are moments here.
We have to catch them when we can.
Agree about married couples......... I've been married to my husband and best friend for 30 years. He is playing football with our son (Playstation version) now.....I go in and bother them every so often.... they like it when I do, I'm sure. I made them a cherry cobbler for dessert tonight.
I believe what we do here online is important too.Agreed about catching moments.
Life and living are much more important than what we do here online. For some, it's all they have...and that's sad.
Important how?I believe what we do here online is important too.
It is part of life.
And nothing about life is accidental.
We have choices.Important how?
Unsure about the "nothing about life is accidental" part. That gets into defeatism and fatalism. I think there is more positive things involved.
Maybe I'll explain how it is important later.Important how?
Yes, we all have choices. The belief we have choices versus the idea there is a plan for us is conflicting. I do not know how to resolve it.We have choices.
But there is a plan for all of us. How we do the plan is our choice.
I'm not a fatalist by any means.
But if God is God he knows how things will turn out and if we make a bad choice he can turn it into good for us if we know him and love him.
I don't either.Yes, we all have choices. The belief we have choices versus the idea there is a plan for us is conflicting. I do not know how to resolve it.
