Hillary Under fire (Not to be outdone by Brian Williams)
The Blackhawk helicopter approaches Tuzla, Bosnia. Onboard is the First Lady of the United States, Hillary Clinton and her daughter, Chelsea. Both are wearing camouflage pant suits and helmets. After surveying the mountains below, scouring the landscape for snipers and gun emplacements, Hillary gives final orders to the pilot to set down on the base tarmac.
Suddenly the ship is raked by automatic weapons fire and several on board are hit. Smoke billows from the engine and the helicopter goes into auto rotate and drops hard onto the snow covered ground.
Hillary springs into action immediately, grabbing a first-aid kit she administers aid to the more seriously wounded then moves through the ship grabbing soldiers by their drag straps and pulling them from beneath the seats where they had sought cover. The gunfire continues to rake the Blackhawk and Hillary drops down for a moment to shield Chelsea and two soldiers from the withering fire.
She exits the craft, orders Chelsea to run for cover to the waiting SUVs just as mortar rounds land on the vehicles and they burst into flames. Calmly, Hillary yells to Chelsea to grab some dirt and stay put. She then begins dragging the wounded to safety behind a Berm about a hundred yards away as sniper rounds kick up little bits of dirt around her feet.
Ignoring the danger she manages to sequester the entire crew behind the Berm and tells them to keep their heads down. She grabs an Army issue service knife and an M-16 with a full clip and dashes off toward the hills from where the fire is being directed at them, stopping briefly to catch her breath for a moment and to check her mascara.
She reaches her objective and sees the artillery emplacement and a machine gun nest about fifty yards from her position. Dropping down, she crawls the fifty yards and on her belly and rises up quickly right in front of the gun crew.
Hillary: Good morning you bastards, (pap pap pap pap pap, the M-16 sings a song of death for the five man crew), Good morning you bastards, (pap pap pap pap pap).
She dispenses the last man with the knife she is carrying then runs toward the machine gun nest and its two man crew. Pulling the trigger, she realizes that the rifle clip is empty so she throws the knife, striking one man in the throat as the other one bolts from the nest and runs off toward the security of the mountains.
Hillary then goes back to where she left the others.
Chelsea: Are you okay, Momma?
Hillary: Never better dear, all in a days work.
Top Sergeant: Thank god you were here Ma’am. They’d have killed us all if you hadn’t been here.
Other Soldiers: That’s right Ma’am. You saved us all. We owe you a debt of gratitude.
Hillary: Forget it, boys….it’s just a small matter of leadership. Remember this day when I run for president.
