How long will it be before right wingers somehow try to blame infection rate \ deaths in states run by Republicans on Democrats ?

LOL calling a partisan based impeachment a partisan based impeachment is harmful to public health? I suppose only if you're a democrat. :)
Making impeachment the focus of a briefing that is ostensibly about public health and has nothing to do with impeachment certainlyis.

So they didn’t quarantine people with Ebola exposure? Oh, wait, they did.
Wow, that was moronic. How many had Ebola? 10? Totally different story here.
Take that up with USA Today.

Why don't you compare it to Obama's pathetic swine flu reaction, and the over 10,000 dead before an emergency was declared?
Oh no wait, you wouldn't want to do that.

They sold their stocks, didn’t they? Is that what you mean by taking action? Cause they sure didn’t do a damn thing to make tests, masks, or ventilators available or to discourage large public gatherings.
Who did?
What a dumbass deflection attempt.

That's the national action you think the government took? grow up.

They ignored nothing. Stop borrowing the equally ludicrous 9/11 talking points for spreading lies.
Why haven't they told all the people in this country to shelter in place ?

If anything ignoring that people who aren't are spreading the infection even further.

That is the epitome of ignoring the crisis.

So it's Trump's fault for not ordering everyone inside with the threat of criminal punishment that is the problem? Do you find that idea a popular or practical one? Or should we leave it up to Americans to simply follow the common sense guidelines and precautions that exist for other communicable illness?
I prefer choice B. Seems common sense most Americans would.

The government's response to this illness has been described as "unprecedented". That is sure far from "ignoring" the issue.

When Obama declared a public health emergency over swine flu (April 26, 2009) there were 7 confirmed infections and 1 death in the U.S.

8 Republican governors are still refusing to issue stay-at-home orders.
They also have no problem with church gatherings. Makes me wonder if a Red State Rapture is coming.

Is that so?

And how did Obama address that threat to the nation? Oh yeah...

President Obama said on Monday that the growing number of cases of swine flu in the United States and abroad was “not a cause for alarm,” but he sought to assure Americans that the government was taking precautions to prepare for the prospect of a global health pandemic.

Not a source for alarm huh? What would it take to be "alarmed"? Just ten thousand dead ?
How come he didn't declare it a national emergency until October and over 10,000 were already dead?

What action did they take, and what prevented them from taking the more aggressive actions taken in places like China that got things under control much more quickly?

Because he was reluctant to use emergency powers in general, preferring to work within normal channels instead of seizing power on his own behalf?

The swine flu was not the crisis this is, partly *because* competent leadership in Washington got out ahead of it and planned ahead.

By the end of tomorrow 10000 people will be dead in this country from this pandemic.

And those are only the ones we know of because they don't have enough test to test both the living and the dead for this infection.

Yup. So THIS is the time Obama would declare a national emergency? Bit late I’d say.

What became of Trump declaring a national emergency ? Now if Obama was telling us it would be over by Easter then you would have a point. He declared it an national medical emergency every 90 days until he declared a it national emergency to make sure the vaccine reached everyone.

Obama made sure front line hospital workers had enough protective gear from the national stockpile. Trump is taking that supply of PPE and giving it to profiteers then forcing the states to pay as high 15 times the original cost. When he could have distributed it through govt means from the stockpile.

If Obama were president, he'd have begun organizing the international community in January to prepare to issue stay-at-home orders to their countries....on the same day....world-wide.
