It's a proven fact that most DemocRat political figures give far less to charity than most Republican political figures. And I have no reason not to believe the same principle applies to DemocRats as individuals re: charitable giving. And the fact that they attack churches is also telling, since churches and religious organizations are largely responsible for most of the charitable giving in America, especially re: the Catholic church. It figures that the left would attack them the most. To the idiot left, their only god is government.

Also funny is how any lefties that DO actually give to charity....always feel the need to proclaim how much they have given and to pat themselves on the back for it publicly. It's another leftie constant in the universe.....lol.

You know lappy.....what makes me laugh is that most of these " Generous with other people's money " are not so in their own personal lives. Ask any one of them what they do for charity or how much volunteer work they do at local organizations and you will find that on the whole the people who advocate socialism are the ones who expect to be on the receiving end of free stuff and will scream the loudest when their stuff gets grabbed.

whereas lefties want big government to be all things to all Americans and ergo, their nanny.... which has the power over all aspects of our lives in order to provide (supposedly) all things. But that "all things" is actually paid for by the sweat of Americans... and Americans should have the say-so over how the fruits of their labors are spent (not squandered or wasted by big government schemes).

Obamacare goes against the US constitution by trumping states rights and forcing all Americans (except for special Americans) to comply with the biggest federal, 'big government' MANDATE that has ever been imposed on Americans.

Your caricature of what modern liberals believe about the limits of governmental power is certainly amusing, and is standard Republican fare, but is simply false. Meanwhile, your claim that conservatives believe in 'states' rights', and in federalism, was pretty much exploded by what you folks did back in the 2000 Presidential election, when you got the SCOTUS to improperly intervene in a state election. Occassionally, a rightie and a leftie will actually try to discuss something in a substantive way despite their differing perspectives. But there are plenty of righties and lefties who engage in nothing but invective.
