Was every dollar in the bill earmarked to fund basic necessities for the prisoners in the camps? Or would it just have meant more guns for the guards who are arresting people trying to bring the prisoners water?https://thehill.com/homenews/house/450363-the-4-house-democrats-who-voted-against-the-border-funding-bill
Rather unfortunate situation wouldn't you say? Who the hell would vote down the provision of monies that would fund the provision of the basic necessities needed to care for the individuals detained at the centers on the border
They aren’t, as an agency. They are deliberately exacerbating them by confiscating amenities from the people they arrest and withholding them.so, it's a catch 22..?
how are border agents attempting to do it now?
If they were imprisoned without trial, or even a hearing to determine whether their asylum claims would be valid (an affirmative defense against the charge of crossing the border illegally), how do you know they illegally crossed the border? The wall would have been a better idea. Fewer animals crossing. Fewer animals trying to cross.
To bring you up to speed with what has happened, these animals were not Americans arrested and imprisoned without a trial.
These animals ILLEGALLY crossed the border. So far, TWO presidents have locked them up until their hearing.
They would have been better off staying in their shithole countries.
They need aid, but the executive branch has refused to supply it and actively sought to do them harm. Ergo, we need an alternative solution:how do you solve the humanitarian crisis. they need aid? or they do not need aid?
You want Ron Paul out of Congress? Also, he said that?First, get the Nazis out of Congress. They created the problem by telling those animals that bringing a child would get them citizenship.
Second. Finish the wall. Put a nice big beautiful DOOR on that wall and invite the world. Tell the animals to get in line like everyone else.
If someone tried to break in front of a liberal in a Starbucks, there would be pants wetting and an attempted fistfight. These same liberals don't seem to have a problem with animals doing it to our southern border.
Gaslight? The lies just keep coming, don't they?
Like you REALLY believe the House of Representatives would pass such a bill.
And you wonder why everybody says liberals are so STUPID.
(Folks. Name the movie this is from.)
Israel has a wall and they still put “illegal” Palestinians in cages. Australia has an ocean around it and it has a ton of “illegal” Pacific Islanders in cages.A wall,so you are saying Trump is the one who would keep the illegals out of cages with a wall but not "you people."
Interesting.
Right? Trump knew they couldn't block the funding forever.Good thing Democrats in the house passed the funding.
And here you are supporting internment camps TODAY.Also slavery, segregation, separate but equal, Dred Scott, internment camps, voting against civil rights...That's a sliver of what Democrats did.
What about reparations? The Japanese-Americans got reparations for being held in similar conditions.Don't care. Your problem. They are illegals, the money should be used build a wall and send those here illegally home.
It's takes sometimes years to bring one indicted citizen to trial, how in hell do you think they can process 100,000 over night? Did you not see the pictures of the Caravans and the number of illegals marching to the border and they KNEW they would be where they are 1000 miles before they illegal entered America. If they were imprisoned without trial, or even a hearing to determine whether their asylum claims would be valid (an affirmative defense against the charge of crossing the border illegally), how do you know they illegally crossed the border?
What other misdemeanors do you think people should be put in cells meant for 1/3 as many people without soap or toothbrushes for weeks for?
1 liberal Republican, Rep. Jeanette Rankin of Montana, was publicly against it. Many other Republicans were for it, including Gov. Earl Warren of California, who gave the first order for mass detention and internment.with republicans right there with them, hotshot. it is hard to believe how twisted your sense of history is. do you really think the republicans were against FDR moving west coast Japanese to internment camps? Are you really this uninformed? That they were more liberal than FDR on this issue?
Radical (leftist) Republicans, sure. Guys like Thaddeus Stevens or Robert Smalls. There were also conservative northern Democrats who were segregationists, like Benjamin Stapleton (mayor of Denver). Are you trying to act stupid? Do you really think republicans were against separate but equal laws more than northern democrats?
In 1866, 1871, 1875, definitely. When the Radical Republicans were identified with Radical Reconstruction.do you really think southern republicans were more in favor of the Civil Rights Act than southern democrats?
I know I am nitpicking. You do make some really good points here.Do you really think what people called themselves politically 150 years ago is all that relevant today, when it is the republican president making the racist comments telling black people to go back to Africa, and hardly any republicans complaining? and why do you continue to use the adjective form of democrat when using it as a subject? did you go to junior high, at all?
To hold that segregationist wing of the party, the national leadership had to compromise with it. Just as the Republicans make compromises today to hold what segregationist support they have (minority but substantial and politically ascendant).here is the breakdown of how democrats and republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964- have someone familiar with numbers and percentages explain how wrong you are-
no southern republican in the house voted for the civil rights act. not one. and the democrats held the south so firmly THERE WAS JUST ONE REPUBLICAN SENATOR FROM ANY CONFEDERATE STATES IN 1964 AND ONLY 10 SOUTHERN REPUBLICAN HOUSE MEMBERS......get it? here is the real deal-
By party and region
Note: "Southern", as used in this section, refers to members of Congress from the eleven states that made up the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War. "Northern" refers to members from the other 39 states, regardless of the geographic location of those states.
The original House version:
•Southern Democrats: 7–87 (7%–93%)
•Southern Republicans: 0–10 (0%–100%)
•Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%–6%)
•Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%–15%)
The Senate version:
•Southern Democrats: 1–20 (5%–95%)
•Southern Republicans: 0–1 (0%–100%)
•Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%–2%)
•Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%–16%)
Look at how completely the democrats held the south back then before they supported civil rights...in the whole tier of southern states there was 1 republican senator and 10 republican members of the house!!! and today it is almost reversed!! the democrats knew they were signing their own political death warrant by pushing thru Civil Rights, but they did it anyway, putting doing what is right before political gain.
name one time the republicans have done something so righteous.
Back when Karl Marx supported the Republican Party.Could you make that legible...Btw I saw the number 1964..Because you people think that is when the vote was taken, but it was 1870. The 15th amendment.
You are 94 years late to the party.
1. 86 the UN they are not "inmates" they are damn illegals, why don't you rush on down and represent them? They need aid, but the executive branch has refused to supply it and actively sought to do them harm. Ergo, we need an alternative solution:
1. Through multiparty elections overseen by the UN, allow the inmates of the camps to elect camp governing committees and a national governing committee for everyone in the camps.
2. Exempt everyone now or originally from the concentration camps from arrest by the U.S.’s governments without the written request from the national governing committee.
3. Turn over all resources of the Border Patrol and ICE to this committee, along with any FEMA or military resources the Red Cross determines them to need.
If they cannot be afforded their constitutional right to a speedy trial, they must be presumed innocent and set free. Not my fault the ruling rattlesnakes decided to round up a bunch of people it can’t prove are criminals. It's takes sometimes years to bring one indicted citizen to trial, how in hell do you think they can process 100,000 over night? Did you not see the pictures of the Caravans and the number of illegals marching to the border and they KNEW they would be where they are 1000 miles before they illegal entered America.
Why do you progressives NEVER whine of combat troops going without soap and toothbrushes for weeks> I'd guess many of the illegals went much longer without soap and toothbrushes than weeks before they got here.
Do you see a rattlesnake and grab it, that's what they did by coming illegally....grabbed it.
1. Who else could oversee those elections without the U.S. using its power of life or death over the inmates to terrorize them into ratifying its handpicked choice?1. 86 the UN they are not "inmates" they are damn illegals, why don't you rush on down and represent them?
2. FUBAR and there are NO concentration camps as what dems put Japs into.
3. You've lost your mind!
The Pope lives behind a WALL, Palestinians lob bombs into Israel daily and the cages where built for illegals by Clinton/Bush/Barry O and leftist were crickets, as I've advised you before, run on down and cross into mexico or STFU.Israel has a wall and they still put “illegal” Palestinians in cages. Australia has an ocean around it and it has a ton of “illegal” Pacific Islanders in cages.
There are no internment camps as there were for Japs and you should be volunteering to be in Barry O's cages with the illegals, hell, YOU with all your knowledge could be the illegals committee Leader...………..GOAnd here you are supporting internment camps TODAY.
They were Americans, not on illegal IS, I guess you agree with the Rented Kids for asylum_______What about reparations? The Japanese-Americans got reparations for being held in similar conditions.
