In the Jungle, the quiet jungle....

Looks like a freak accident at a well-traveled and otherwise relatively safe park. That's the reason they ask you to keep the windows shut.
Mr. Martian,

You try not to laugh at this, but you know she was likely leaning out the window getting a selfie of herself with the lion.

When you're warned.....you need to LISTEN to that warning. They tell you to keep your windows closed for a reason. Hard to feel sorry for someone that doesn't listen.

When we took a tour of Denali National Park in Alaska we were in a bus and stopped at one point because there was a mama bear and her two almost grown cubs stalking around. We were safe in the bus but there were two or three cars right there and people with cameras and tripods sitting there taking pictures and the bears got within about 15 yards from the people before they started hustling to pick up their stuff and get inside the car. Had the bears decided to run, we would have been watching a massacre. People somehow think that an animal recognizes a camera and is posing or something. Dumb.

I went on a safari in Tanzania in the early 80s, it was a low budget affair. We had open jeep like vehicles the whole time. I have a picture of a lioness crouched about 20 feet from our jeep. At the time, the guide was just laughing and all of us were kind of freaked out a bit but nothing happened. We were lucky. The thing about Africa is that almost all the animals you will see can hurt or kill you so fast it's scary. It was quite an experience just walking around in the bush, you never knew what was going to happen.
