James Mattis Denounces President Trump, Describes Him as a Threat to the Constitution

Bugsy McGurk

President
Damn, Mattis blasted the hell out of him. It’s about time.

Stand by for Trump’s crazed retaliatory tweets.

I hire only the very best people - Donald J Trump (the J stands for Genius)
He's absolutely right. Donald is explicitly trying to set up a state of us vs them between the military and the civilian populace and between the military and state leadership. He is setting the stage for a military coup so he can remain president for life and pass that role on to his pathetic spawn. To help him along with this, he is working to bring about the boogaloo to ensure continued and escalating chaos in the streets so he can defend his use of the military against citizens. He has been pouring gasoline on racial and ethnic discord since before he began his run to lay the groundwork for chaos.

Make no mistake, this is not Donald doing this. This is the hand of Stephen Miller and his white supremacist friends and supporters; they don't care if it's Donald at the top or some other malleable patsy. They have had an agenda for over three years and we are watching it come to fruition now.

Meanwhile we see the "good Germans" among us wringing their hands at the looting (sparked, encouraged, performed by the boogaloo participants) and blaming the protesters. But as Mattis put it, “'The words Equal Justice Under Law are carved in the pediment of the United States Supreme Court. This is precisely what protesters are rightly demanding. It is a wholesome and unifying demand—one that all of us should be able to get behind." Amen Brother Mattis.

With this:

"We must reject any thinking of our cities as a “battlespace” that our uniformed military is called upon to “dominate.” At home, we should use our military only when requested to do so, on very rare occasions, by state governors. Militarizing our response, as we witnessed in Washington, D.C., sets up a conflict—a false conflict—between the military and civilian society. It erodes the moral ground that ensures a trusted bond between men and women in uniform and the society they are sworn to protect, and of which they themselves are a part. Keeping public order rests with civilian state and local leaders who best understand their communities and are answerable to them."

Mattis is trying to appeal to the members of the uniformed military service, specifically the military leadership. With the showboating photo op yesterday, and the military leadership's participation in it, I believe now that this is a lost cause.
