Conservatives and right-wing media were quick on Wednesday to demand forceful condemnation of hate speech and crimes by anti-Trump liberals. They're right. Though there's no sign of incitement as direct as in the Giffords attack, liberals should of course hold themselves to the same standard of decency that they ask of the right.

That bit about Palin inciting the Giffords shooting is a vicious, baseless lie.

There is no proof that the Tucson shooting was inspired by the crosshairs map. There's no evidence Loughner ever saw the map or even followed Palin. The shooter reportedly didn't watch television, he didn't read the news and he didn't listen to talk radio.

The advantage lefty has in peddling such a completely bogus (and self-exempting) narrative is that a very hefty chunk of the Democrat base is comprised of blithering morons who exist largely at an animalistic "eat, sleep, breathe" level. A story, no matter how ridiculous or intuitively, demonstrably untrue and implausible on its face, can gain traction and be considered viable by such insects.

Your explanation was a dodge...the only way it was a joke was that everyone knew the rest of the bible passage...What does it mean to you to pray for someone's days to be numbered?

It is clear to me what he meant...and the use of that passage was widespread, not just the Senator and pastor. It had been circulated in a number of email and snail mail campaign messages.
