Legal review: Clinton versus the espionage act

The FBI is detaining the techie who set up the private server for Clinton, and he has been granted immunity, which means he is cooperating with the FBI investigation. At the start of April, the FBI announced it was finished gathering hard evidence and would begin interviewing 5 people from the state Department. There is no announcement made to the public about these interviews, we have no idea whether they have taken place, are still pending, or whether the people requested have declined to be interviewed, any of which might have already taken place. What we do know is the FBI is moving at a pace on this investigation, as they try to do with all political cases. When these 5 interviews are finished or declined, then the FBI will seek to interview Clinton. Hillary has made multiple public statements saying she can't wait to speak to the FBI, that doesn't mean she will and there is no public announcement being made for her interview either. The general consensus is, this phase of the investigation should be wrapped up in May and without a doubt the Dept of Justice should assign a prosecutor to execute the case and indictments should be made... probably against all 6 of these people being interviewed. There is a strong chance that the Attorney General will attempt to block this case from being prosecuted, for political reasons, and if that happens, the FBI will be livid, and there is a strong chance that impeachment proceedings would follow in the Republican controlled House. One way or another, this investigation is about to expose Clinton's Lies all through the primary season. If an indictment is brought forth for Clinton, which will surely be the case, sooner or later, she will, no doubt, be convicted of a felony and that will bar her from holding public office.

This case has been purposely misrepresented in the press over and over, to the point that no one here understands it, and you guys are all pretty sharp, sharper than the average bear. But I found 2 videos, which, if you watch them back to back, will make the whole mess perfectly clear.

If you did watch the entire 2nd video, in his final comments, the former US attorney for District of Columbia stated that the HRC server was not protected in the same way that it should have been, that it had no encryption... that it appears this server was set up to get around security and to hide her tenure of service from the public (violating the freedom of information act). There's court cases investigating those crimes, there is a grand jury already convening for that purpose, there is the FBI investigation centered on the violation of the espionage act statutes, and there is also the bribes from foreign governments made through the Clinton Foundation. All 3 spheres of criminality are under investigation by the courts and the FBI.

At about mid-point of the 2nd video, he covers the idea that Loretta Lynch should set up a special prosecutor to requit herself of conflict of interest. If Loretta Lynch fails to do that, and otherwise blocks prosecution of this case, I believe she would be immediately impeached on the House Floor. The consequences of that impeachment should usher in the prosecution for the FBI investigation. If all of that fails to materialize and Clinton were to be elected President, the House could also choose to impeach the new president and site the FBI case for prosecution by the Senate. Wouldn't be the first time the Clinton household has gone through that process. If Lynch gets away with blocking prosecution in all three areas of investigation and Trump is elected president, it stands to reason Lynch would immediately reverse course and save her own ass before the new admin comes to take her place and tracks her down.

The closer we are to the Fall election, the scarier this is for Loretta Lynch. It stands to reason she would do the smart thing and go with a special prosecutor, which does delay the process while the FBI brings the new staff up to speed on the case, so Hillary may indeed win the Dem nomination before an indictment is issued, but that indictment would be coming soon afterward, so the Dems, upon seeing a special prosecutor, would be wise to go with Sanders instead.

the next two months should be very interesting. I'm curious whether Hillary wiped clean the entire hard drive of her server, you know, erased the D-Drive (all the data) - 30,000 e-mails looks to me like one big dump, and Hillary was asked that question, but she laughed and said, "what do you mean, wiped with a cloth?" Since the office of the Sec of State conducted its business on that server, it belonged to the government, and erasing any of it was illegal. There is so many crimes here, and Hillary Lied about every one of them. If she does go chat with the FBI, it boggles the mind how she could not perjure herself.

And our resident Liberals will STILL claim that there is no evidence of wrongdoing from Hillary. It cannot be proven to them even with Hillary's own words damning herself.

I hope there is someone with clout that has the spine to stand up to the corrupt people in the Obama administration who would flout our Constitution and our laws for their own personal political agenda.

There isn't anyone with that spine, but there is a system of laws, and the wheels of justice do turn, albeit, slowly, but they do turn.

This is a perfect storm coming at her, she's not going to survive it unscathed. In the coming months, she could be looking at indictments containing a dozen or more charges.

If Loretta Lynch throws her very big wrench into the works, the wheels won't turn at all.

There are lots of agendas in conflict.
politically, but not so much in the justice department. Lynch has a problem, to a person, every last Attorney under her is salivating for a chance to instantly enter the history books, and prosecute the Democratic nominee for president. Who doesn't dream of getting that case?

And Sanders is going to hang around for his platform agenda... cough, and you never know when you might need a back-up nominee.

At one point I think they were readying Biden to step in if Hillary became unable to run, but Sanders has done so well that I don't think they would get away with that any more than the Republicans would get away with slipping Romney into the slot in Trump's place.

Sanders is savvy, he has been inside the Beltway forever. I doubt he didn't understand all along that the indictments are coming for Hillary; in the mean time, he wanted to argue the issues, he needed to argue the issues, that was his rise to popularity. The e-mail/espionage indictment has wings of its own, he doesn't have to lift a finger there.

They are coming, as we write. There is already two judges involved in the Freedom of Information Act cases, and a grand jury. And those are still in the exploration stage. The FBI investigation is already done, they are interviewing right now, they could bring the whole shabang over to the DOJ any day in May. It isn't so easy to stand down the Director of the FBI and obstruct justice on that level. It is easy for us to say Loretta Lynch will do that, it isn't so easy for Lynch though, it is no fun to fight the entire FBI, I don't care who you are. FBI Directors have a history of being ferocious and are to be feared. It isn't a battle you want to get into, not if you have some way out... and for Lynch, a special prosecutor is her out. I expect we will see that. People scream, "why haven't we seen that yet?" (or like you said here, why no indictment yet?) Wellllll, the FBI hasn't turned it over yet. The DOJ needs to be given the case first, then they can go about assigning a prosecutor.

The liberals here have been screaming that there is nothing Hillary has done that she can be indicted for. I don't know where they have been keeping their heads, but when the poop hits the fan, they won't be able to deny seeing it.

I hope that Lynch is an honorable woman and she will do what has to be done.

I believe that Trump and Bernie are the two most honest candidates out there. A presidential battle between the two of them will give the nation a chance to choose what it wants as we move forward. I understand that Trump is not a real conservative, but he will put forth what he believes to be the "common sense" answers and I agree with his form of common sense.

Bernie's common sense is too Socialist imo and he will take this country down a fast road to destruction, but at least Bernie is honest and honesty means everything this time around.

You can't blame Libs for believing their candidate, unless the candidate is Hillary. She has been in such extreme denial mode, she claims there is no investigation, just a "review" ... what exactly is that? Does the FBI do reviews? What would that animal look like? The Federal Bureau of Review? "Nothing to worry about, m'am, I'm with the FBR, this is just a routine review". LOL

Now, check out this video posted a week ago, the head of the DNC is in lock step denial with Hillary...

Trump and Sanders are the only non-puppets in the race. The big difference between them is Sanders knows Washington DC inside out and has a progressive tax plan unprecedented in scope for this republic. The tax plan is a bloody revolution. Meanwhile Trump has nothing viable that will remotely work, so where Bernie would crank up tax rates a couple of notches and increase government services for the broad stream of Americans, Trump would basically do away with the federal government altogether. Neither understands the currency or the power of the Treasury... so they both are true blue Americans.

This video came out while we were typing this thread. This guy (Young Turks) is purely political and doesn't understand the process, the case, and yet even he realizes this isn't going away...
