Let’s not forget about Sessions’ outrageous conduct as to McCabe...

First, of course, Sessions supposedly recused himself from anything concerning the Mueller investigation. His latest violation of that pledge is following instructions from el Presidente Trump to fire and financially punish Andrew McCabe. McCabe is a central witness in the Mueller probe, especially his support of Comey’s allegations against Trump.

And what was Sessions’ supposed reason for firing McCabe after the headlong rush to do it quickly to deprive him of his pension? It was McCabe’s supposed “lack of candor.” That from Sessions, an AG who has already been busted on numerous occasions for lying to Congress.

McCabe compromised himself by whitewashing the email investigation and allowing his wife to accept money for her campaign from long time Clinton friends.

The truth is Comey and McCabe should have been out of jobs by the end of last January.

Then there is Nunes "Midnight Run" visit to the White House to brief Trump on the investigation.....and if it was illegal for McCabe to "leak" info about an investigation to the press..why wouldn't it be a problem for Nunes to leak to the target of the investigation he was in charge of?

Just so you know, outside of Trumplandia one does not address the outrageous conduct of Trump and his toadies by yapping about someone else. You provide no defense. There is none.

Another fine example of the banana republic we have become. The guy in charge of the congressional committee charged with investigating el Presidente operates in complete cahoots with el Presidente to whitewash the matter and run interference for him. A stench so bad that Nunes had to recuse himself. But then he managed to make the stench even worse by pulling the strings from behind the scenes while supposedly being recused.

The Trumpstench in Trumplandia overpowers the senses.

Hopefully, bringing McCabe to justice is only the beginning of an epic housecleaning at the FBI and DOJ. Everyone at the rank of supervisor and above should be looked at closely. The corruption in both agencies is very, very deep after 8 years of being filled up with Clinton operatives.

Where else was he going to go? If he believed the DOJ and FBI were compromised (with good reason) where else are you going to with that information?

Perhaps you and yours think he should have just buried it like a good boy.

Nice of you to have invented an excuse for Nunes...

Meanwhile, if your excuse actually held water, why did he then recuse himself (not really) from the investigation and not simply tell people that was why he went to the White House?

He wasn’t supposed to go anywhere. He was supposed to investigate the matters in good faith and not conspire with the White House to run interference for Trump. Having been busted conspiring, he was forced to recuse himself, and then he made it even worse by orchestrating the whitewash behind the scenes.

Trumplandians are so far gone they don’t know what the ethical decision is, much less do they advocate it.

Sessions doesn't appear to know how a recusal works.

He knows. In the lawless world of Trump, he doesn’t care. Trump ordered him to punish McCabe and Sessions knew he’d be canned for sure if he didn’t follow el Presidente’s orders.

Yes, I expect you're exactly right -- that Sessions saw the writing on the wall, that if he did the ethical thing and honored his recusal, Trump would fire him for not punishing people for working on the Russia investigation. So, he threw any pretense of ethical behavior out the window to save his own job.

Sessions' sleazy background....

Jeff Sessions’ November, 2017 testimony that he “pushed back” against George Papadopoulos’ proposal for Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign team to meet with Russians has been contradicted by three people who said they had spoken about the matter to investigators with special counsel Robert Mueller or congressional committees.

Before that, Sen Al Franken caught Sessions lying about whether the campaign had ANY contact at all with Russians.

1. Actually, McCabe blackwashed Hillary.
2. McCabe's wife had every right to accept any political contributions as long as it wasn't from Russians or other foreigners.

I'll stipulate that Sessions is chickenshit for recusing himself from from the Mueller witch hunt. He should have begun an investigation into Hillary Clinton's e-mail crimes the day after inauguration day 2017. Sessions has been sitting on his ass, drawing a paycheck, ever since he was appointed, apparently just twiddling his thumbs. Firing McCabe is his first conscious act as AG, as far as I can tell. I'll have a smidgen more respect for him if he will fire Mueller and haul Clinton's fat ass in for questioning and indict her.

Nice try, kinda hard to compromise an investigation that is a joke.
