Think of a gift as a substitute word for emolument.
No. He’s not being given a present. he already owns ..
That still an emolument, profit has nothing to do with it."at cost".

Bette Midler ✔ @BetteMidlerWe agree, there was nothing wrong with Mick said ... Mick was telling the truth about Trumps
Emoluments violations
Holding up foreign funds for his own benefit
Admitting that they were holding up funds to look into the DNC server
There's nothing wrong with Mulvaney telling the truth about Trumps crimes
Your link.During his press conference he unequivocally, and repeatedly, admitted that there was a quid pro quo - that aid to Ukraine was made conditional on Ukraine helping Trump with his purely political goals.
Well, Trump and his other toadies then went into a panic. Mulvaney told the truth! What to do? So, they had Mulvaney put out a statement, personally approved by Trump, retracting Mulvaney’s true statements.
They’re in full freakout mode.

I sure would hate to be in Mick Mulvaney's shoes right now. LOL! He went off script. In other words: He forgot the lies he was supposed to tell.During his press conference he unequivocally, and repeatedly, admitted that there was a quid pro quo - that aid to Ukraine was made conditional on Ukraine helping Trump with his purely political goals.

How ironic coming from you. Where is your proof that the Trump administration forced Mulvaney to retract his statement? I'll wait. The capacity of you people to ignore reality is boundless.
Since Mulvaney said none of those things, and in fact said specifically there was no quid pro quo concerning Biden, I'm going to have ask you to back up your accusations. We agree, there was nothing wrong with Mick said ... Mick was telling the truth about Trumps

Can’t be. Our resident wingers insist that what we all saw and heard just didn’t happen.Your link.
WASHINGTON—A top White House official for the first time linked President Trump’s decision to hold up aid to Ukraine to his desire for Kyiv to probe a Democratic National Committee server related to the 2016 election, then hours later issued a statement contradicting his own remarks.
The initial comments at a White House briefing by acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney caused alarm among senior White House aides and the president’s legal team. Mr. Trump has repeatedly denied there was any quid pro quo related to the aid.
Time for word of the day, or more accurately, the word for Trump's tenure. Can’t be. Our resident wingers insist that what we all saw and heard just didn’t happen.
The Orwellian Dear Leader so commands his subjects...
Ironically, Trump is the world’s foremost practitioner of gaslighting, and he probably doesn’t even know what it means.Time for word of the day, or more accurately, the word for Trump's tenure.
Gaslighting
Gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation in which a person seeks to sow seeds of doubt in a targeted individual or in members of a targeted group, making them question their own memory, perception, and sanity.
