Maryland's Republican Governor hangs at home, eats crabs...

Governor Larry...shows why he's popular in Maryland.

Eschewing Trump and the Convention, Governor Hogan spent the week chewing on crabs and other local foodstuffs. The above photo is from the J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clam Bake, an annual party on Maryland's Eastern Shore that has served as in informal political gathering for decades.

Gov. Hogan is a pragmatic businessman Republican. He suffered, quite elegantly, a bout with cancer (irony, no?) in the early days of his tenure. He's running around 70% popularity in the state.

Good for him, though I'm not a big crab fan. Too much work for not much meat.

Another tremendous show by the Governor. The bobblehead giveaway reflects a question the Governor posed after his chemo-therapy. Today's reality is in between, not bald, but not as long as the behaired bobble.

To have hair or not to have hair is apparently a question to be answered by Maryland's first lady.

This week, the hair Gov. Larry Hogan lost during chemotherapy treatment began returning in a coat of gray fuzz.

"Three days in a row!" Hogan told reporters.

Although the social media-savvy governor went to Facebook to solicit opinions on whether to retain his shiny dome or welcome whatever reclaims that landscape, he said Wednesday, "I think the first lady will have the final say."...

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan will be in attendance for the Baysox Cancer Awareness Event Sunday, July 24 at 2:05 p.m.

The Baysox will be hosting a “Bobblection” where fans will have the choice between a bobble head depicting the Governor with or without hair. The giveaway consists of 500 of each bobble head for fans 18 and older beginning when gates open at 1:00 p.m.

Wonderful PR with a purpose. Even a grinch like me is liking this. Personally, I'd like to see him grow his hair back when able as a sign of victory. But there's really no bad move to make here.
