The US needs to open the doors to legal immigration. Lots and lots of legal immigration. People will come through the front door, if its cheaper, easier, and safer. Right now, the US is rejecting perfectly good candidates for legal immigration because Republicans are xenophobic. The come here legally, they don't need to get black market jobs because a of a looming threat of deportation. Claiming immigrants are a drag on society is complete bullsh*t. The government is wasting money deporting good people. If Republicans would just make more of them legal they would save sh*t tons of money and bring in more taxes. Its a win-win as long as Republicans can get over their xenophobia.

Nancy Pelosi's fortune is largely due to her husband's key position in STARKIST which operates in American Samoa...on more than one occasion she has made efforts to write legislation that let's AS off the labor laws hook....she would have made a fine Republican.
