Back in Black was recorded on the Atlantic Records label, which has its headquarters in New York. I was hoping it would be Obamacareforever that took the bait, but you'll do.

medicare costs less per patient, with mainly older, less healthy folks, than regular health care. read something. why would you think a middle man, the private insurance companies who make billions in profit for not doing anything, would cost less per patient than NOT having a middle man draining billions of dollars for doing nothing?

yes, there are any number of ways.
If you don't like Medicare-for-all then strengthen price-gouging laws to go after Healthcare providers.
Yes, because government did so well at lowering the cost of..... ummm.... heh heh... lemme get back to you.

on 9/11 in the afternoon, my parents told me to fill up my gas tank because gas had gone to $6/gallon. I refused because I knew they were price-gouging. I was right. The government lowered the price of gas by threatening prosecution against the price-gougers.
They need to strengthen price-gouging laws to go after the unethical practices of healthcare providers.

"They need to strengthen price-gouging laws to go after the unethical practices of healthcare providers."

OK, sounds great.

How?

That is to say, how would the government know what is an ethical vs. an unethical practice within the healthcare industry?

Who would know what everything within the healthcare industry actually cost compared to what it is worth compared to what it is sold for?

I see it isn't the people in healthcare in your opinion, so is it the government? The people receiving the care perhaps?

That is it, isn't it now? Like how you dems/libs all "feel" workers know what is "fair" pay, never the employers.

You all "know" what is "fair" to charge for food, housing, education, healthcare, healthcare insurance, everything, you just refuse to share the actual numbers with others when the matter comes up. Never give numbers, percentages, never specifics, but always and only more if it involves you receiving other's money and always and only less when it may involve you having to spend your money.

The very definition of a 21st century liberal in the USA......

Medicare for all is campaign rhetoric to wheedle the electorate. It’s not going to happen.

They can make the determination that healthcare providers are taking advantage of people in need.

Do you not know how businesses run?
Every business knows(or should know) exactly how much it costs to offer their goods/service vs. the sales price.
I am a cost accountant for a pharma company. It is literally my job to calculate how much is costs to manufacture drugs.
The information is public to some extent if you want to go read a bunch of hospital 10-k's.

"They can make the determination that healthcare providers are taking advantage of people in need."

Again with the generic reply. "They", (who is "they", can make this determination how? How will "they" determine if it is 'taking advantage of people in need" or if they are merely operating as every business does?

Are housing contractors taking advantage of those in need of houses? Car manufacturers of those in need of transportation? Should houses and cars be sold at cost? maybe with a $10 dollar profit for their troubles? Hell, lets go wild here, let them make $100 dollars more than it cost them to build a car or house. Would that be ok?

Give me something to work with, disagree with or support.....

"They" is the government, who we have elected to regulate ethical matters.

Alright fair enough, let me clarify... price-gouging is taking advantage of people during a crisis.

HAaaaaaaaaaa! Good one!

Government regulating ETHICAL matters!
Government---ETHICS!!!!!! BWAAA-HAHAAAAAAA!

Oh dear Lord......Let me stop.

But on to the other comment.

"price-gouging is taking advantage of people during a crisis."

This would be during a time of crisis as opposed to everyday situations, correct? So just which crisis is it that the healthcare industry in general used to take advantage of people? Do they charge more for a flu shot during "flu season" than they do all year long?

Isn't everything a healthcare crisis to whomever it involves? Or that is to say, what is there involving healthcare that someone couldn't label a crisis?

In which case we are back to saying government officials should dictate the cost of healthcare for everyone, not the people actually working in healthcare.

I don't like it, I don't agree.

Yea that's a real laugher! The last time the House ETHICS Committee took any action
on anyone was 27 years ago in 1992 re: the House Banking scandal. Nothing but angels since apparently?

Busted back then were....

Rep. Albert Bustamante (TX)
Rep. Carl Christopher Perkins (KY)
Rep Walter Fauntroy (Del)
Rep Mary Rose Oakar (OH)

All of them Democrats

government control of your health and your life.

Socialism sucks which is why Rod Stewart came to America from England for treatment of prostate cancer and it was successful. But Google it and you won't find any mention of where he was treated.

Hooray for Rod

But....let it be known there can be no doubt, that as George Orwell predicted, we are now all insignificant subjects to be controlled by the information we receive or don't.
I heard Bernie say that under his socialist health care plan, you can pick any doctor you want.

Um, no. By design, the government would dictate which doctor would care for you.
