Microsoft FINALLY does away with "stack ranking"..

Here's a link to just one of umpteen stories on the subject.

Over the years, I've come to know hundreds of Microsoft employees. There's one thing they all had in common. None were what we'd call "happy". And, almost all of it goes to this absolutely ridiculous "stack ranking" regime they've used for decades. Unless you've worked for MS or are as close to it as I, you've probably never heard about it. But hey.....read the article and tell me.....what the hell have they been thinking with this abomination? Getting rid of it, is a no-brainer on umpteen different levels.

On the MS note, lemme give you a stock tip. MS is in search of a new CEO. Boeing-the-Ford's Alan Mullaly is in the babble mix. IF he ends up being the one, the minute you get the news, snap up as many shares of MSN as you can afford and get your hands on.
