I’m a baby boomer and I retire this Friday at 59....

But only because I planned it and made the sacrifices I needed to make.....

    So why can’t you?

You are definitely a young boomer. You are actually closer to a Gen Xer - we are way better than the boomers.

This does always amaze me. People look at others who meticously plan, save and organize their life towards a goal as if they are the elusive unicorn.

Really, life is generally not that hard if you just have your shit together, make good choices and do what you have to do to prepare for the future. Tough to do that though when you think having the latest tech and a daily starbucks habit is "normal" life.

I don't know about all Boomers vs GenXers............ but I think I agree. My oldest son, a GenX kid is doing amazingly well. Two kids. Private schools. Frequent nice vacations to nice places........ Life has been easier for him than it was for me and I am tickled pink about it. Hubs and I did NOT pay his way. He did it himself.

I am not sure we have quite survived either man bun or mullet.
