Need some info

I'm i the same boat, we buy my wife's insurance but I am covered by the VA, have been since I was mustered out but I didn't know that they offered additional insure for medicare. If I am understanding you correctly I'll have to look into that.
Is your wife old enough for Medicare? If so both of you should check out the different plans. We were lucky enough that the Union took care of us, finding the best plan. Since I have a big network of friends ,they are telling me how much they have to pay extra and checking with the Senior Company we are with.

As I said before the new Health care bill made MA even better this year. Most of your friends can usually lead you right and they also are happy to listen to you if you find something better. Please do not think I am telling you this to make the bill look better,I am not. I can see for myself now. It could be better, but after Congress gets through with anything it is more complicated thn it should be. Those who have heavy presciptions are the ones who wil really save if they hit that doughnut hole.

Now,if they just start bargaining for prices as they should have at the begining the way The VA and Medicare do.

If you are in good health I would advice HUMANA

at HUMANA we co-pay:
Office visit: $10
Specialist: $35
Hospital Emergency: $65

No deductable.

Best Regards

Hey guys,

I need some info. I am turning 65 in July and am being pounded by insurance companies for Medigap insurance. Can anyone out there tell me a little about the company they are with and how well they service your policy.

Thanks,

ORR

My, my, my, falling to pieces already huh?

On a serious note, at HUMANA we co-pay:
Office visit: $10
Specialist: $35
Hospital Emergency: $65

But no deductable.

Best Regards

Check out Colonial Penn. I've had a policy with them for a couple of years, no co-pay, very low deductable. I had knee replacement surgery about a year ago (right knee) and am going to have the left one done this month. My total out of pocket was about $150.00. It will cost me more this time because the deductable went up after the firstone.

My wife has another year before she is eligiable for Social Security and 4 years before she is eligiable for Medicare. I think that Obama should have given the insurance comapnies the right to negotiate for lower drug prices instead of the monsterious program that he and the Congree forved on us.

ORR, Congress is the one who refused to allow them to negotiate. Congress is owned by the Drug companies. They did the same thing with Bush's drug plan. That has been a stink on Congress ever since and when a few try to negotiate the bought and sold refuse to do that. Obama had to take what he could get out of Congress.
And, it is both parties, not just Republicans.

I was close to throwing a shoe through my TV when I listended to Congress during both bills.

MaryAnne,

The state governments have alot to do with it also. My wife and I have had two incidents where the state has increased the price of two of her percriptions.
